What sort of investment size would I be looking at to run a decred master node?

I've been looking into decred recently and it seems to function I. A similar way to darkcoin/dash. I know dash takes a few million dollars of investment to host a master node so I'm wondering how much decred might take given its similar model. It seems $100million is staked at the moment but I'm not sure how their voting system works. Can someone give an insight? The site seems to say the top 3 addresses get to vote (either that or it's three random nodes).
