CatalansCoin is a cryptocurrency aimed at the Catalan community with a very ambitious goal, and that to this day, has not been achieved. Our principles are based on:


- Freedom
* Privacy and value. CatalansCoin is a fungible and non-traceable currency.
* Anyone can use CatalansCoin without any limitations.

- Real decentralization.
* The currency is owned by the community, not the developers. 0% premine.
* The PoW algorithm will be efficient with any domestic equipment, highlighting the CPU. The development of ASICs will also be actively combatted. The currency is owned by the community and not by the big farms.

- Easy to use.
* We will work on improving usability, freedom and getting a currency focused on the needs of Catalans.

Specifications.

- Cryptonight Catalans V2 Algorithm. IoT algorithm with exceptional performance in IoT devices.

- Block time of 3 and a half minutes (to avoid network forks).

- 75000000000.00 coins will be issued with a slow emission curve, similar to bitcoin. In 6 years 50% of the coins will be issued, in 20 90%.

Fast roadmap

- Airdrop free coins among the members of the community.

- Encourage the creation of nodes, in order to create a secure and decentralized blockchain.

- Creation of an external non-profit and transparent organization, founded by the community. This community-led organization will have different objectives, such as:

- Increase the frequency of airdrops. Creation of physical events to make the coin known.

- Encourage the development of tools desired by the community.

- Donate to the Catalan independence movement.

- Development of GUI wallets for any type of device.

- Production of a new website, redesign of the roadmap and creation of a whitepaper.

- Change the algorithm to Cryptonight Catalans, to improve resistance to specific mining equipment.

- Reduce block time to 10 seconds. Very aggressive proposal that can only be achieved after a big amount of nodes increases.

- Creation of a new consensus algorithm to distribute coins among Catalans (Proof of Location).

- Implement community proposals.
