Up 26.5% this morning while bitcoin only up 0.9% since yesterday.
Same for litecoin a few days ago up 100% at one point.
Are these alt coins (rather old ones over 2+ years) breaking away from bitcoins lead and venturing on their own when it comes to price? Undecided

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I read somewhere that they are proceeding with proposals for a hardfork so people are buying now. Can't remember what additional features it will have but closer ties to ethereum ETH was in the list

That would be quite strange if this was true news. I have always known ETC to be the complete opposite of philosophy and principle with Ethereum,,, and surely we all remember why this happened. To make a hardfork and then become closer to ETH does not seem like the mood of ETC developers for the past 2 years plus. But let me also read up and see what new developments are happening.

There is still a very wide gap between ETH and ETC and I am sure it will take decades for them to meet up that is if they do, provided there is no sort of manipulation in their volume by these exchanges or coinmarketcap.

I have never really picked interest in ETC and I wonder what many people who are investing in it stands to really gain, some of these coins are just being pumped to attract investors in which the price will be dumped immediately, don’t be surprised that the price will be dumped back tomorrow as against the 26%, anyway, the any investor that is smart should just take their profit and leave the market to invest in Bitcoin now.

there is no way the two coins can ever meet because they both share the same broken platform that has lots of issues and bugs and considering the terrible supply decisions they have made in first day the price of it has to continue to go down. so they both have to go down at pretty much the same speed with ETH having more hype than ETC but they both are on the same path. so they can never converge.

if indeed that really happened then I was very happy to hear the news.
if indeed there is a price change in the ethereum classic it will have a positive effect on the price of ethereum.

I think Some of its major investors sold their altcoins to invest in bitcoin short pump  experienced recently, they were smart enough and it went in their favor as they succeeded in getting huge profit which they sold to get more of these altcoins back.

So, majority of the people that sold their altcoins to go take profit from bitcoin has already bought back and it’s not only ethereum classic that experienced this, other altcoins did too but I am sure it won’t stay long on that price, it will make correction back as some holdlers will sell their holdings off, waiting for another bottom to buy back.

We shouldn't be surprised if an altcoin pumps for a while, most of them rely on the movement of bitcoin so whenever BTC pumps, they'd follow the king.

As per checking the price of ETC, its price is $6.31 and it's one of the alts now that experience red day.

i followed this coin, and as far i know, on this year on their schedule, the team have no plan to do some hard fork.
i just know the team planning some MEET UP on san francisco today.
probably just some random pump, like Lambda yesterday.

The sudden spike of Ethereum classic is due to its hard fork. I really don't know much about Ethereum classic and I think having eth classic is a good investment. I would still make some research about this coin before I invest.

This is a sign of good pumps, and to compare it with the previous years definitely it will give ethereum can community a good contribution to achieve price increase so far. When there's a hard fork happening in the network, probably there's a better outcome that will also much awaited. Hopefully it will surprise everybody prior bull run will come with all crypto coins.

the price is like the mountain there is definitely ups and downs in it if the down was happening there is definitely the app is possible to reach by us so we need to move on for that then only the success will be seen by us in that time of making the effort.

Ethereum classic and its other counterparts is being dictated by the price movement of bitcoin base on my observation so meaning since bitcoin right now is trending up the other alts also follow its direction.

I help small and medium business owners increase brand awareness by creating engaging content, customer support, managing email marketing, and implementing automation.
