Very basic which you would need to input some address and put up some feedback either a thumbs up or thumbs down.I dont know why its being called Anti-scam? it cant really change anything.

Use etherscan.io as an explorer and check the comments section of the address you're looking for. There is a high chance that someone posted something there and If you want to report one, then do th same and just leave a comment.

ethplorer.io which is a block explorer for eth assets has disqus on their site which basically allows users to leave a comment in any address. I remember ppl leaving comments to addresses which are used in fake giveaways on twitter so I guess that counts (?)

But if you ask me this "Anti-scam addresses Database" kind of concept won't make much difference 'cause ppl don't usually include the address(es) when they do background checks. What's way better is a site which compiles scam or shady sites like badbitcoin.org

Didn't know that! I've tried it but it has close to no commented address (at least for the few I've tested) while on etherscam.net there were 2 out of 3 scammers address I've noted...

What's way better is a site which compiles scam or shady sites like badbitcoin.org

Yeah but that doesn't work with the tons of TG/Discord DM/group chat I keep being invited to...

I was looking for somewhere to rapidly check/report addresses, maybe a little fancier & with a comment section, which lacks on etherscam.net...

What's the point of reporting the address anyway, making the address only took a couple minutes.

What should you report is the people/users that scam people my friend.

Before using wallet applications, you should check the domain name carefully. Now there are lots of fake websites and it will send viruses to your computer and steal your information.
Please trade carefully. Observe carefully before clicking.

Upon reading this I thought was there such a thing? Isn't it pointless to report scam addresses since you can make another one in just minutes? Website, accounts, groups should be the one to be tagged and not the addresses they use.

It is not pointless at all, it can be useful for future references. Who knows that the scammers decide to use the address again in the future. Having a database may help others to know which addresses has been used to scam people. Some addresses might be connected to other address and some time people do not do check the addresses first. So I think it is a good idea to have such database.

Addresses are quite a useful tool for exposing scammers, especially with how most noobie scammers don't know that even when you generate a new address, it can still be linked to the previously used addresses.

There are various sites already where scams are being pointed out, but none yet dedicated to addresses. Sure, some explorers allow comments and whatnot, but it could be utilized in a much better way with some effort.

Yeah its helpful for future reference but hackers arent really that dumb for them to use a common address all over and over again. They will surely make use another
address which wont really be listed out on that database. So, people will still think off that its a clean on but without knowing that it is connected with the older or stained address.

It takes a few mins to set up a new eth wallet, I guess most scammers have time to make a new address when they set up a new scam. I think it's more important that people think before they send any crypto to an address, people still fall for that send us one eth and we send you ten eth back scam.

You could check it on etherscan.io butnyou should check it well. Double check the address and name as well but scammers nowadays are wise but you should be wiser than them. However, reporting such addresses might have no sense in some point because they could still make a new one.

I don't find any use of listing scam addresses since its not so hard to create a new address. Instead of listing scam addresses we should have a list of scam projects ,coins and websites.
It would be more beneficial since people often fall for scam projects and invest in scam coins to earn more profits.

Even if they do make one they would still have to struggle first to make someone believe that it is their legit address if they already posted their older one. I don't know why people still fall for this kind of trap that someone is scamming them but they don't want collateral or an escrow to make sure their money is safe.

Yes etherscan let users to give comment freely, so I think it is not good reference to find scammers as people may comment something bad for any address without any proofs. This the main problem with such features, a hacker address can be given positive comments as well. So I think it is not good to rely on comments only.

I concur. Honestly, how long does it take to create a new address? Also, comments can also be used to screw a perfectly legal address which would achieve the complete opposite here.

The list of scam projects continues to increase with time especially from the prolonged bear market in recent times which is why a list of these projects would be more beneficial overall.

Ain't know the reason why you still need to report it. As the creator made the link, it is very obvious that the only people who will be able to be caught by this are the ones who really don't know how the internet works.

Anyways, posting it to the forum is really a helpful thing you did as well. You don't have to report that address since they will be able to do one within a minute, as well. You'll just make yourself tired of getting rid of them so don't waste your time by doing so.
