Bitcoin qt:Incorrect or no genesis block found

Hi, when im trying to open the bitcoin qt im always getting this error messange: Incorrect or no genesis block found

I already deleted everything in the bitcoin folder but im still getting the same error

Are you sure that you deleted the files under bitcoin folder? you may be deleted files inside program files folder?

You must delete all .dat files inside the bitcoin folder under the block folder that mostly you can find from this path c:/users/*****/app data/roaming/bitcoin
then reopen the bitcoin-qt to sync and download new blocks.

yes it was under appdata/roaming/bitcoin

im running some altcoin wallets on the same machine too and never had the problem before

Can you try to make a new folder and add this -datadir=C:\BitcoinData under properties>start in. The BitcoinData is your new folder.

here's the sample below.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe" -datadir=c:\BitcoinData

After that reopen the bitcoin qt again to generate new files inside the new folder.

If still doesn't work better to check the debug.log and let's check why you get this error.
