Does Rizin Fighting Federation sounds familiar to you? Yes its the same Japanese mixed martial art group that signed Floyd Mayweather in a exhibition match with Tenshin Nasukawa that ended up in just 1 round but the contract that Manny Pacquiao signed is unique or shrouded in mystery as there is no stipulation that he will fight anyone, but Fighting Federation is asking Manny Pacquiao to fight Takanori Gomi also a mixed martial artist.

I don't know about this Rizin Fighting Federation. Is there any news on whom will Manny Pacquiao fight? When I see that the OP said "mixed martial arts" I think that Pacquiao could be at the disadvantage. Imagine, a boxer which uses only his knuckle to fight vs a martial arts with the combination of kick and punch?

Reading and analyzing, seems that the promoting company wants manny to carry the business, knowing how well they produced regarding to Mayweather's fight they've got lots of money to flow, now it's Manny's turned and convinced the Japanese audience who adoring the Pacman to buy tickets and watch him inside their rings.

It is still early what Rizin wanted to sign up Manny. I'm not saying that it will be another exhibition match just like Floyd did, but probably will be like promoting Rizin in the rest of the Asia and the world.

As the latest news from Mayweather,he is willing to be a promoter of Manny Pacquiaos fight so maybe this is the fruit of that news as he (Mayweather)had already retired in fighting while Manny is still willing to fight again until 2020 according to the interview last year after his last bout

If you have been following Floyd Mayweather and the discussion about the rematch versus Manny Pacquiao, you are aware of that fight that took so quick and made Floyd earned a lot of money.

Any good analyst here on what will be the odds and possible outcome between Gomi & Manny?

The same thing will happen like Floyd vs Tenshin, this will end up in a minute exhibition lol, if Floyd ended the fight fast what more when it is Pacquiao but I hope he will take easy on it to make the audience enjoy the fight and the money they paid for at least haha. But for real Manny Pacquiao will be in trouble if they allowed kicking tho obviously its a boxing match.

If they follow MMA rules then Manny is at a dis advantage. If I'm in Manny shoes, I wouldn't just accept any fight just for the sake of money.

He will be branded as just fighting for easy money and following Floyd's footstep. I agree that everyone trolls Floyd for accepting a exhibition fight before and a lot of name calling. Is Manny willing to sacrifice his legacy as well here?

I haven't heard about that news yet but we all know them aside from being a great boxer, Manny Pacquiao also loves trying new things especially sports. However, if I would put myself in his shoes, I wouldn't sign that contract if it's just about money. He's a senator and a boxing champion so I think he could focus more on that.

But Floyd won easily, because there was a boxing match with a guy, that trained Karate or Taekwondo. I doubt that Floyd can survive 5-10 low kicks. Same with Manny vs Gomi. I dont care that he got 6 match losing streak, when he can out grapple or just destroy Manny's legs with his leg kicks.

Yes, it looks like they still have deep pockets to get Floyd before and now it's Manny turn. It was reported though that Rizin suffered a slump specially when One FC came into the picture. That's why they really needed to resurrect so to speak the company and be competitive right now otherwise One FC will take over the Asian market. So this is a marketing strategy on their part, and I'm sure the money throw around this boxing legends are going to be worth for them in the long run.

boxer has more advantage unless there is a ground fight like in the UFC. he doesn't have to use his feet to kick he still can use his hands alone. i wonder why is it that a boxing champ wanna engage in such arena. i have never heard of Rizin Fighting Federation in my entire life. but this isn't surprising to Pacquiao, he goes beyond what he can do, he got into politics and became senator maybe he wanna be something more than what he is.

Manny Pacquaio is not going to compete in this MMA organization but rather make an appearance in some way.
They are paying him for his time and to promote their show.
Manny will stick to boxing because he will earn the most money there and less threat of defeat.
We could see Pacman in a boxing match with this company since you may recall Mayweather making $9 million for his match with Tenshin Nasukawa.
