I already have been a victim of hacking.What is the benefit of edu mails apart from unlimited google drive?? Edit: I heard some where that github gives hosting space for free to students with edu mails but what if they come to know that these emails are fraud ones? |

These definately work with amazon and other so you'll use them as long as email is valid.
The problem is that these email accounts can be canceled any time - today, tomorrow, year after that - nobody knows when. So its not really suitable for long run with google cloud, such as unlimited storage of personal info.
They're not hacked but not legal either.
