I would like to start bitcoin trading with AUD, as it seems bull market is coming back. Which exchanges are the best in Australia? I did some research and found there are some comparisons among exchanges in AU: Coinspot: www.coinspot.com.au I can see its advertisement everywhere, they support many cryptocurrencies , but not sure about their trading fee. Jinance: https://jinance.com.au My friends recommended this exchange to me, seems their trading fee is lower than others, and they are doing campaign that I can get $10 for free if I sign up Independent Reserve: www.independentreserve.com Seems only bitcoin, ETH and bitcoin cash are available. Any other crypto exchanges based in Australia to recommend?

Since I'm not Australian, the I can only do googling to answer your question. You can refer to this list https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/australia/There are some others based on my searching: https://www.cointree.com/https://acx.io/ To make sure which one is reliable, I think you should ask your friends. I believe there are Australian Bitcoin communities out there, so you can try to ask on such community.

The list above should have it all. I wouldn't suggest Virwox and Bitcoin ATMs because the fees will be so high. There is no best really, as it's a matter of preferences (UI/UX, fees, verification time, etc.) but I would recommend going with Coinmama or Coinbase as they are very reputable. Alternatively, trade with individuals in P2P platforms but that comes with risks (reversible payment methods).

afaik dx exchange (a new exchange) support aud currency. but they're still buggy af at this moment, not really a good exchange tbh. maybe wait for other exchanges or that exchange to stabilize, or trade directly in this forum. btw, why don't you use payeer or something like that? afaik they support aud too (need to check out again).

I've used hardblock before as well, they may be more convenient in terms of selling, but rates may be worse.
Coinspot is also a pretty safe option to go with if you are willing to verify yourself and all that, they've been around for years (I remember them existing for pretty much as long as I've been into bitcoin), and I don't think I've heard much complaints about them at all. Never heard of Jinance though. Independent Reserve I've also heard of, though their site does seem a bit unprofessional.
At the end of the day though, I do think that for a small trader who plays the long term market swings p2p trading may give you the most flexibility and convenience, especially if you want some anonymity. Rates are going to be somewhat worse, but if you aren't trading with a lot of volume, it barely matters given the withdrawal fees that some of these platforms have anyways.

As Omega mentioned, there are many risks involved with p2p platforms like reversible payment methods etc which is why this is not always the best method to trade BTC. Exchanges like Coinbase are far more reliable in this regard since they have been established and have been running successfully for a long period of time. Thanks, but I only have AUD, seems coinbase only supports USD?
I don't think that will be an issue. I advise checking out the following link op: https://support.coinbase.com/customer/en/portal/articles/2501515-payment-methods-for-australian-customersYou can clearly use your debit card or bank account since new credit cards seem to have been blocked in this case.

Yes, most of the people are looking on how they can easily access those exchanger so that less hassle for them to work very hard just for exchanging their money. Most of the time we need to understand our valuable clients so that they can go with us again. That's true so that we are trying to understand our clients to lessen their subtleness and they will come over us again because of the good experience that they gain from us.

Hi Tongtong_zz, I work for Independent Reserve so I'm probably a bit biased, but I think you should use us I'm not sure how you came to the conclusion on the coins we list, but here's our full list of support cryptos: - Bitcoin
- Ethereum
- Ripple XRP
- EOS
- Bitcoin Cash
- Litecoin
- Stellar Lumens
- PlayChip
- OmiseGO
- 0x
We're a liquid real exchange (not a crypto "shop"), and have been around for over 5 years, have many great features like: - Integrated tax report powered by KPMG
- Premium accounts which include hot and cold wallet insurance
- Regular market insights (also translated into Chinese)
- Best exchange fees of the liquid markets
- Combined cross currency order book - can trade with AUD, USD, or NZD without losing liquidity
- Fully featured API
- more that I can't think of right now
Happy to answer any other questions you might have! Cheers, Nikola.

Try to check out https://nauticus.io/. It's a new and developing platform. I have been part of their telegram group and it seems that is growing. However, you will have to undergo KYC before you can use their platform. Since you only have AUD, this site will suit you. No worries about it, I've tried depositing and withdrawing money from it, I experienced no problem. They also have an active support which helped me with my KYC procedure. *They have a monthly random airdrop to it's users. Just to add.

I think you should try one by one of the exchanges so you can know what exchange that you like and you will trade on that site only. We could suggest the exchange, but still, you need to decide for yourself because you are the person who wants to trade. And if I were you, I will try all of the websites which members suggest in here, and I will find by myself which exchange that can make me feel "Ah, that site will better than the other." I am never thinking about the fee because the fee will not be a problem as long as we can make a profit in every trade so we could still make money and we can send it to another wallet.

Trying those exchanges one by one is basically bad idea, trying to trade on exchange = risking money involved. I would not do it in order to find the best exchange that suits to what I need. I would prefer do some researches or asking for some friends opinion.

What I did before deposit money, I will take a look on the interface of the site, how are the dashboard, so in that time, I will try to feel the site first before deposit. I am sure that the feeling will tell which website that could be our choice and that always works for me many times. Yes, I know that it is not always working too for the others, but that is what I did before I deposit. I register in many exchanges, but only a few exchanges I choose to trade daily or weekly.
