I think there is only one factor. That is the community. If the community of a project is good, it will definitely have a chance to partner with Binance or other major exchanges and other partners.
A large community will also help a bad project to be great in the future.

I do not think the community is as really important as the team/dev. This is because if a project is lucky to have a good community, then it so happened that a bad team is behind such project? All that will be done is to dupe those good people and run.

Investing in presales is no different from investing in any ICO or IEO or even STO ,you still have to make sure the project is real by checking first on the teams ,believe me White paper investigation should come last because they don't prove how good a project is anymore ,make sure the project will attract lots of investors ,working product should be implemented for that to happen

But sad fact, investor sometime look on presale only for big bonus. Project that give a lot of bonus i  looked without see their background of project. And some of them think if they will only sell it right after they get profit.

- Yes, I still do. Presales provide you a much more higher bonus compare to public sales. You can consider private sales if you're right after the bonus rewards but generally there's a bigger minimum contribution.

What do you research first in order to invest?

- The team, their legitimacy. Do they have a notable person behind the project, a good example is Vitalik from Eth, Daesik Kim from Bitthumb, Alfred Kahn which is one of the founders of Pokemon, Charlie Lee from LTC. Someone great that can be the face of the project. I also look at great use cases that the project can apply for the real world. I'm not just in for the money, I'm in for the tech too!

What makes the project interesting and worth investing?

- Good use cases and great relationships outside of the project. This will generally give you profits at the end of the fundraising event.

A working platform?

- This can be a plus. Have you heard of a reverse ICO? Companies running "Reverse ICOs" typically already have a working product and a proven track record, with real-world users and existing communities. This is very different from traditional ICOs, which often do not even have a working product and just a beta platform.

At the end of the day, its all gonna fall on you. Knowledge is key and just do your own research.

BTC is more stable than most of alts. Usually when BTC decrease in price you will see alts following the downtrend.

Both the two features you mention plus on how they market their coin, all these three are important if investors and the community saw these they will support this kind of project, if I will rank it dev is very important, followed by the platform and marketing of the coin, all investors when they see a good coin will invite friends to that coin.

Hmm, to tell the truth, I haven't thought of mining lately - is it profitable nowadays? Cause you know, prices on electricity are rather high, so you know, we have to evaluate many aspects before starting up. Also, haven't met many solutions that are available in the US market

Of course, many things should be evaluated on your own, the costs etc. But yes, there are advanced solutions on the market today. As for the US market, the company I know and the one my friends interacted with is called Asicequipment. They are the guys with pretty huge own history and are widely spread in the US, so you can have a look and evaluate on your own

For investors buying in presale is more risk, this means that they don't really care if the project will flop later or not. To buy in presale you must have done your research if they offer any real product or service and you must have found out if the team behind the project can be trusted and how healthy their community is. I think with that you will find out if they are legit or not.

 I personally think one of the primary things you should explore before deciding to invest is take your time to evaluate the project team to see if the team is legit, reliable and have the necessary expertise to deliver the project. Then you should see also whether the idea backing the project is unique or a common one. The market has numerous projects comparable with one another. In the event that a project is one of a kind and it has possibility to advance after some time, it will develop. Generally, this two factors are very important for you to consider before investing your money in any project (either at presale or main sale).

What is certain before investing is researching the project as a whole so that we know how the project is going forward. Because with that we will think and be sure to invest in a promising project and in the future, of course the project can develop. Never be affected by sales that have a lot of bonuses.

You have to check and analyse everything about the project before you throw your money in a project, the most important point for me is practical use cases of the project, if you think that the project is commercially attractive and it will bring lot of business, customers and revenues then it is a great project to invest.

I rarely join the pre-sale token/coin because I rarely found a good project that require that much funding. Many ICO did the sale with over price and high soft cap which make me think that the project is a scam. Good project supposed to be self funded and run ICO only if needed, if you want to see what kind of coin you invest just take Ethereum as an example, the coin did an ICO long ago find that has solid fundamental as those and then you can decide whether to invest or not.
