What do you guys think about the WAVES' future? Does it really stand a chance against ETH and everyone fighting in this space?
There are very limited opportunities for altcoins. Especially one like waves that offers the creation of other altcoins. Long story short its entire existence is based on being a better clone of Ethereum. The only way I can see it having any future is if it targetted certain demography and certain nationalities. |

It looks like someone was just dumping his coins at the lowest possible price, since no other exchange were affected and the price immediately jumped back. Might also have been a faulty bot that has filled the orderbook of various coins... who knows! So actually this isn't a real flash crash nor does it represent the correct price. What do you guys think about the WAVES' future? Does it really stand a chance against ETH and everyone fighting in this space?
Regarding technology, WAVES may compete with ETH. As for now, ETH seems to have way more supporters in the community, so i am pretty sure ETH will remain the #1 platform. ETH has a much larger ecosystem of developers and users than WAVES, but WAVES is very active in development and seeking partnerships. For a while it was behind ETH in its capabilities, but by adding smart contract functionality it was able to catch up. The key for the success of WAVES will be incubating projects that can reach mass adoption and forming the right partnerships. |

Such a movement is similar to a hacker attack that someone arranged for this coin. I think that this project is in very bad situation

I think that the waves project has a serious vulnerability which was used by hackers and then leaked these coins to binance.

You made me greedy after seeing i went to binance for buying such a low price but i dint find any one selling for that price neither its tradign in the price you quoted . I am disappointed .
Right, sometimes this may happened. I have faced this situation few times and when i wanted to buy and open the trading pair, i haven't found that low price. I don't know why this unexpected situation happened. I also often monitored Binance's exchange, but did not see the price of Waves going down to the bottom, was that a fool doing it. I am very surprised here. |

Nothing is surprising to me anymore in this space. Since Bitcoin can fall so drastically in price, from $19k to as low as $3k, it's no doubt if any other coin do so. The space is just so crazy.

Gotta say i love the wavesplatform.
I have tested almost every platform out there, but its waves that i use almost daily.
You dont have to invest much to use it either, but if you need a blockchain to implement an idea then waves is the go to platform.

Waves is a good coin, so no one will sell lower than its real value. There might be news about the price dumps but this is very unusual for a great coin. Those who are able to buy on that level will make a big profit soon. The price will not dump much after this, it will rise again hodlers of waves should not panic. |

It was confirmed that it was a bot who did that i believe it was 3commans or gunboot. Good job for those who have bought and placed that order. They got an instant fortune thats why I never used bots because of this sole reason. I hope this serves a lesson for those lazy traders who only wants profit but not working on it.

I own both ETH and WAVES and I agree with you that WAVES can never be where ETH is but, down the line, it comes to how they market themselves while fighting for the space behind ETH. |

I'm glad that I didn't bought waves. But this coin was totally on hype during its launching days and I've seeing people who are very optimistic with it. But not for today, I didn't know that something like this happened. |

Waves is always moving slowly, this is what makes me impatient to hold Waves too long, even though it is available in various big exchanges including Binance but I am sure Waves is difficult to skyrocket. |

These kind of stinking bids are not uncommon, I've seen them before . If i am not wrong this happened to start as well in december.
ETh was dumped was to $35 for few seconds on GDAX

Bitcoin is driven by some really vehement bullish spirit right now but when u look at the altcoins - some show the worst performance ever recorded since the beginning of 2018. Namely WAVES, XMR, ETC, IOTA. WAVES just got smashed down to 0.0000001 btc on Binance exchange. This behavior is in strong resonance with what I expected to see in this space this year. What is happening?  According to the information I know, the price of WAVES has plummeted because whales have manipulated the price of WAVES and killed greedy people who have placed LONG orders in margin trading. This is evidence that playing margin trading is dangerous and it is not a place to invest. |
