When Ethereum POS will be implemented??

Could somebody help me with what exactly happening with Ethereum POS implementation . Constantinople was dropped because of Auditing firm reported issue in fork . How about casper implementation . Will ethereum supply will be limited to atleast 130 million . Any insight on this .

As far as I know POS, they have not yet been used I think that all this will not be profitable as long as the cryptocurrency will not carry out mining. I hope that the POS will not be integrated into the ETH. I very much hope that all this will really be left on POW

Ethereum has been criticized for implementing key upgrades much later than anticipated. There are hopes that proof of stake will be implemented later this year, but I highly doubt it. I would expect proof of stake to be implemented no sooner than 2020.

Ethereum 2.0 (Serenity) won't be fully rolled out for another 2-3 years with Phase 0 and Phase 1 due within 1-2 and Phase 2 due sometime in 2022. Ethereum 2.0 is being deployed as a seperate blockchain so it does not supersede ETH 1.0 which means the chain needs to be sustainable for another 5-10 years.

Interesting to see how ETH 2.0 can be deployed with so many complex changes in its protocol. Sharding is a complicated issue to be solved, but I hope it's not the infinite "next 2-3 years" promise.

AFAIK there isn't sure date when ETH on PoS will be implemented.

Constantinople has already implemented and there was no big problem with it. There was no ETA about when casper will be implemented but we have a lot of updates before we can try to see ethereum moves to the PoS. If you are reading the whitepaper carefully and it will be hybrid (combined PoW and PoS).

Constantinople has already implemented and there was no big problem with it. There was no ETA about when casper will be implemented but we have a lot of updates before we can try to see ethereum moves to the PoS. Even hybrid implementation is fine but my concern is fixing ethereum maximum supply. I am the long time believer of ethereum still I am . But vitalik already proposed ethereum max supply limit to 140 million . Is there any progress on that.

I think that this will happen no sooner than in 2020. Perhaps it will take even longer. I think that now there is no need to focus on this and we need to wait.

I can understand that turning to pos from pow a huge change and they want everything to be perfect otherwise everything can turn shit. So it takes time. Better late than never.

I too is very curious about this too, because I think that event will be one of what will drive the price of ethereum to a very high rate, I learnt from the crypto news few days back that the cofounder of ethereum said that the price of ethereum would increase about 1000x, I don't think a person would be able to say this unless they already have a plan on ground that would cause the price of the coin to increase so massively, and my best guess is that the full implementation of POS will be the event to cause this growth.

It is not that huge in terms of development but really a huge in terms of investors' perspective. I mean ethertum is already having a very good dev team and for them adding a new algorithm will not be a big thing as POS is here for years and it will not be a complete switch but just an addition.

The parties that will be most affected are miners and investors. Therefore, I think the implementation of PoS has not been implemented due to the above factors other than other factors. However, Constantinople has been carried out and is underway with other developments. It looks like Casper update is still delayed.

Ethereuem pos development have faced lots of set backs due to the measure of it implementation and the file against ethereuem in general until there is a change in the mining process from centralized to decentralized one big players will always see ethereuem POS is another form of vulnerabilities.

This is beneficial for users and no more. But in order for the network to fully function, miners are needed today. And I think that this news is created only to remove miners and increase complexity.

I think this year is already full of developments and upgrades for eth network on major one we have seen already in Q1. Personally i do not like proof of stake protocol but as they have decided to change from proof of work to proof of stake then i think this will happen in 2020 only i do not expect them to do this change this year.

There are many people who don't want this change. PoS is not a good security model. Definitely not as good as PoW. PoW has its fails too but currently it is the best what we have now.

If PoS was a solution to everything they would have implemented it already. They all follow Vitalik blindly anyway. But Vitalik hesitates. Vitalik isn't impressed. Vitalik isn't clapping. Instead he is doing more research and trying to make PoS less harmful but there is no such way.

Just buy BNB instead it is the upgraded ETH.

I think what makes ethereum better is the implemented POW but now that they are trying to implement  POS I don't know what will be the outcome, either positive or negative result, let's wait and see and after the last upgrade no one has hear anything regarding the POS implementation so it's hard to say

I dont know much if POS is better than POW or not. But, the only i want to be implemented in ethereum platform is the total supply. As the supply is limited, probably more people will use ethereum just like other use Bitcoin.

My concern here is that even ethereum is not implementing POS doesnt matter . But when they are fixing max supply as far recent announcement Vitalik trying to Fix it for 130 Million once it is done then there will be big win for ehter holders . Until i wanted to keep live this thread . Some Ether lovers can update about any information in this thread Please.

I heard that Ethereum developers will try to implement it before Bitcoin hardfork because from this point bull market should start, they want to be ready before it happens. Imagine that bull market will start and Ethereum will not be able to fight with competitors.

I also think PoS will make the price of ETH go down, i see a lot of coin who after pass to full PoS the price goes down a lot, i don't know if is because maybe bear market but i think full PoS will affect the price.
