Not all have this kind of notion on gambling. Yes in the beginning it entertains the player specially when they wins but it becomes annoying when you have series of loses and besides, some come to gamble with the intention of doubling or tripling their money but it does not always come out as they planned.

For the house, it surely is a business. But for the players, I think it's more of an entertainment and winning is a bonus. But sometimes, for the player, it could be both depending on his mindset. There are some who gambles to earn easy money to pay for something and that, for me, is business in a way. But if the goal is just to have fun, to have some past time, and to gain profit if the universe wills, then it is obviously for entertainment.

I guess we can never really conclude or speak for everyone that gambling is either a business or an entertainment. Its definition still depends on the person in the end.

If they cannot stand the loss, they are not a gambler.
Losing is normal in gambling, and despite the fact that we will loss overtime, we are still gambling
and that will prove that we are having fun on it.

Personally, I can say that I am losing in gambling, but I never mind the loses because I know I can afford it, the entertainment I get is worth for the loses.

I think you are not trying to enjoy the games inside the gambling game because you want to win the money. If you don't have any target in the gambling games, then I think you can have fun in every gambling game because you only play the game without wanting to chase the win money. It is normal if we are losing the money in gambling, but that will not be normal if we still chase the win money and spend more money inside the game.

If you think the end of playing gambling will be losing the money, maybe you will need to make a limit of using the money so you don't have to lose all the money you have so you can come back to the games in the other games. I am sure that many of us are having fun in gambling games and they don't think that gambling is a way to make money.

No the reason behind why some people enjoy and call gambling entertaining is purely because they do not look for making money in gambling. This behind said, you enjoy the mental challenges and love to take risks. Once willing to loose the money, you focus a lot and there could be a win in the end and not loss always. In case you are in only for monetary gains, you might get hurt by the game of probability.
