As I write this there is a live opportunity that is available for savvy traders to buy the ICONOMI (ICN) token on exchanges for slightly less than 0.0017 Ether. Next month ICONOMI will buy back their own token for 0.0019 as part of a restructure.

The only wrong statement here is that not many are monitoring Iconomi. Iconomi was popular back then, it would have been more popular if its token model was acceptable in Binance. Literally every crypto venture suffered almost 90% losses on average. So it is not unique to ICN.

Tokenization of Securities of ICONOMI AG (until now communicated as "eICN security tokens issuance") will take place at a later stage.

Explanation:
Due to the lack of (technical) standards for security tokens, licensed and operated trading venues/exchanges for security tokens and legal clarity, Securities will not be tokenized at issuance but will be tokenized at a later stage. The Issuer (ICONOMI AG) will re-evaluate the possibility of tokenising the Securities as soon as above mentioned conditions are met.

Why we need regulation ?

The main point of regulation is the protection of the investor. We are aware that one of the main properties of Bitcoin is that it cannot be regulated, that it frees the monetary system from any unwanted intervention and monitoring of the authorities. Nevertheless, while this idea is great in theory, it might be utopian in reality. The (Bitcoin) blockchain (a database held and updated independently by thousands of computers in a large network), is not supposed to be regulated, but the venues where cryptocurrencies are traded (also known simply as exchanges) still need to adhere to certain rules, mainly aimed at the protection of investors (traders and hodlers).

If I buy ICN tokens on an exchange does that mean that I also get them traded for security tokens or is that just for the ones who participated in your ICO offering?

It's not and i m feeling doubt about that dude, Why don't they give us their promise to distributing the profit that acquired by the company when it was famous a years before? I was an early investors in this one and it has changed the concept from distributing the dividend into the buyback and burn.
That will never happen. ICONOMI has already created its security token but this company tried to replace it again to change it into the utility but basically this is useless.
