My Account went from Junior to Newbie all by Itself

I have an aged account here which I sparingly use. It went from Junior to Newbie all by itself while my messages get flagged as spam. Isnt there a system in place that can distinguish between real aged accounts and fake ones ?

Looks like you have been off for a while. Your account was demoted back to newbie level. You now need at least on merit to become a Jr Member.

Thats the issue and for some of us its quite hard to follow. What I dont understand is why are my messages getting flagged as spam as well.

My posts are intact Ive no issues with that just my classsification and my messages that get flagged as an imposter whereas Ive been operating from virtually the same IP and same email for years. I understand whats going on but folks like us shouldnt get penalized as well.

Judging by your post history, you're not one of those spammers that should be restricted by the Merit system. You have however been inactive, if you stay active, you'll earn Merit and rank up to Jr. Member and later Member too.
I'm not going to merit very old posts, so feel free to send me a PM once you've made more good posts (and refer to this post of mine so I don't dismiss your PM as merit begging).

I don't think anything got deleted. The OP is getting the red warning on their sent PMs ("this message is coming from a newbie" thing).

Yeah, you are right, there is no record of OP's post being deleted according to BPIP. All that's there is a password reset.

I think the warning message in the inbox is giving him/her chills Grin

But all can change if OP worked a little hard to get atleast one merit.

Did anyone else notice that OP has an avatar, despite being demoted a newbie ? Even the said Jr. Member rank shouldn't have an avatar, right ?

The system for differentiating aged accounts is looking at the profile and checking the - Date registered. In your case 2013. Rank and activity would be to show more than age, it covered interaction on the forum.

The deleted posts could have been in threads that have been trashed; or possibly from a time before BPIP was grabbing the Data. Not really sure how that works.

Good catch, that makes sense. I couldn't figure out what they meant about "flagged as imposter".

That explains it, perhaps. However, I think when the changes were implemented It'd have removed avatars of users that don't meet the requirement to have one, just like it was with signatures.

Hmm I see. All my posts seem to be intact. Thanks for making me aware of that. I post here sparingly at that seems to have cost me. Will try to say Hi more often once in a while.

Yup look like you noticed it today but I guess you were already demoted when you posted on 21 September.
