When comes to gambling we don't considered about the members that we are gambling right now if it was also family members we need money to get survey in this world and moreover If anyone had the money in his hand he will be the person to take the the advantage in his life so if anyone was gambling they don't consider about the parents and the family members and I think if they will accept that you can do it other ways you need to be guided by them.

Gambling is a game of losing and making profits or winning and it is very clear we understand that gambling with our parents in an offline ways is not what I  do really support but if it is an online one I don't think you will have much problems as we don't really know who we are gambling with and everything is anonymous.

If I have a habit of gambling, the first thing I would do is to hide it from my parents. I don't think its a good idea to gamble with parents. On the first hand typical parents in my country will not allow their children to gamble. No matter how old are they. In my opinion, playing games with parents is fine but gambling is not a good idea.

Gambling with the parents is always fun filled once you have been with your limit it will always been fun but in somethings money please everyone it will definitely effect with the family also so you need to be careful in anything if it was family in gambling also.

That's very unfortunate for you to experience such fate mate. For me there is nothing wrong in gambling with your parents as long as you have some limit or you just there for fun. Being a good gambler take a lot of discipline and that characteristic if absent on you then you are doomed to fail in life. Life in it self is a gamble in my view as we have to make decisions that can make or break our future. For me, if you gamble and you have discipline and you know what you are doing then you are good.

My parents are rather strict and traditional so there's no way I could gamble with them.

I'm sorry to hear that your parents separated because of it. They were probably taking it too far in the other direction. My parents would never touch it with a stick but this way they are missing all the fun. Your parents got too involved and probably lost some money and got angry at each other. Everything is good if you know when to stop.

Gambling with your parents might be the unusual bonding of the family but I was able to experience this one before.

In my place, you can gamble on the wake which is normal and a form of sympathy. I was young that time and my dad was playing on the other table called "Mahjong", my Mom was playing "Bingo", and I'm playing card game (Tong-its) that time and it looks like my whole family are playing and aiming to win some money

When I grew up, gambling becomes our source of happiness but suddenly becomes our worst enemy because honestly my parents got separated because of gambling and until now they blame the addiction of my dad. I'm old enough now to realize that was a biggest mistake of my family, to let that addiction ruin our family. I promise to myself not to be like my dad, I will not expose my kids into gambling.

Will you do the same mistakes of my family or you will keep your kids or even yourself away from gambling?

I guess you are from the Philippines since you mentioned tong-its. In our country, its not new to see family members play or gamble like cards or a dice game where you roll 2 dice and cover with a cup, then guess what number came out, its called beto beto. Money at stake is not high since its just for fun.

Some people have the tradition of gambling, I can believe that but at a wake seems pretty incredible.   Never heard of that before but card games are very social, I totally understand that aspect.   When money is involved then it gets more serious and some people are so bad with money, it shouldn't be taken too seriously or turn negative.    Gambling is just entertainment like anything.

Sounds alot like drinking alcohol, a little is best.   Too much is time to stop which when its part of your culture is much harder so you got my sympathy on that one.    I always recommend competitive sports as an alternative and the winner buys the drinks or something reverse, they have that honour

That game will never gets old and honestly, my grandfather are still playing this one but of course there's no kids anymore. Gambling with your parents is normal in some places and I have no doubt if the local gambling in my place is just like this. I've seen many younger player on every places and it looks like their parents are not care at all, well if i become a parents too I will never let my child to play gambling I will make sure to guide them well.

Playing games with parents is a good thing like cards , ludoking etc.Gambling with your parents is not a good thing and I doubt there are any parents that like to teach their kids gambling.I don't know any family and have never seen one that gamble with their kids and teach them gambling.

I have never tried gambling with my family, and I hope to do that someday so that I can know how it feels.

gambling is a gambling no matter who you are playing with . gambling with your own family is not thrilling at all but its fun because you wont mind loosing or winning  .  gambling with family is not bad as long as adults are alll playing and if there is under age or kids , please dont gamble if they are around because this gives them a bad influence   . as an adult we must teach them good things because young kids tends to follow what adults are doing .

I used to gamble with parents when I was a kid. Blackjack, poker, chess, checkers. But most of the time I lose to my father. Now I understand he cheated all the time

I don't think you have left everything that related to gambling, just a few example you still have a signature that related to gambling which mean you never gone from it. It's hard thing to do to leave everything about gambling once you are a gambler before whilst you have a close way to play it again. I'm not a gambler before I used this signature but when I start to use this signature I always have a curious to play it until I have played it once a week.

Indeed, it seems tabo for me because in my culture that will never happen. Because gambling is a place that should be avoided by everyone, if there is someone who play gambling then something bad will come to him. I remember when I was younger I played the national lottery with my parents, each Saturday evening we watch the machine picking the winning numbers together on television. I think this was a normal way of gambling 20 to 30 years ago.
Now I almost never play lottery but bets on sports and casinos each day, but my parents still play the lottery.

You should tell your parents how fun sports gambling is compared to lottery.
Actually you can get the a good odds that would pay a huge winning with a small money at risk through parlay, and that's more entertaining as you can watch them.

Sometimes bad habits should not be passed to other members of the family. Now, I don't say gambling is bad but you should control or refrain yourself from being addicted to it or else you will end up like your parents. If I'm correct, your parents were addicted to gambling which is why they broke because they can't control their emotions specially when they are at lossing streak.

My family is not taught to do gambling cause its outside the customary limits that apply, my parents not gambling but I do it just for fun and fill my free time. Addiction to gambling is dangerous cause it you does't work and continues to make money from the casino if it wins but if lose it will make emotions even higher then the destruction that will occur.
