It should not be encouraged by parents, your children might think that it's ok to gamble and they will grow up with that kind of thinking, parents should set an example and gambling has no place in the family they deserve the best care why not a game instead not an online games but like basketball, so you can nurture discipline to your children.

I agree that gambling should not be encouraged by parents for it might end up in sheer addiction which might later on destroy lives and all those people who have been making big money in gambling were not supported by their parents to gamble. It is something that turns up with the passage of time and you feel you could be of more economic benefits in one part of the market than at other.

Children can also be influenced out as they grow and deviate from the way they have been taught. It is the grace of God that will make kids to conform. I'm sure most families won't want their kids to grow with gambling.

Our parents are our real earning and they will always wish for our good life so if we are gambling without parents it means we are going to earn only, but our parents gamble with us to give us some lessons about life, we should gamble with their ideas and take advises even if we are gambling with someone else.

definitely that wouldn't be a nice idea for those who aren't allow by their parent to gamble with. Had some of my friends who gamble with their parents and their parents have some strict control over them. Parental control matter in gambling and is a good one for such children.

Gambling is really just another form of entertainment like video games or the movies.  As long as your not losing your rent money I don't see an issue with family bonding over gambling.  That is basically what board games like monopoly are except you are using fake money instead of real money.

I'm with this concept also. Monopoly is fun to play with among your family members. So if one day, the family decides to play in a real casino just for fun, I don't see anything wrong with that. But if it goes beyond, like everyone is not going home because no one is winning. I think, that's a different story already. You will go home broke and no food on the table.

There are many other ways to get mingled with your parents and enjoy their company. You could play baseball with them if you are in the US and cricket with them if you are in UK. Gambling does have some economic lessons and is a more mental work rather than physical work like the other games and could be a pretty nice combat between parents and children over tea. Gambling with your parents might be the unusual bonding of the family but I was able to experience this one before.

In my place, you can gamble on the wake which is normal and a form of sympathy. I was young that time and my dad was playing on the other table called "Mahjong", my Mom was playing "Bingo", and I'm playing card game (Tong-its) that time and it looks like my whole family are playing and aiming to win some money

When I grew up, gambling becomes our source of happiness but suddenly becomes our worst enemy because honestly my parents got separated because of gambling and until now they blame the addiction of my dad. I'm old enough now to realize that was a biggest mistake of my family, to let that addiction ruin our family. I promise to myself not to be like my dad, I will not expose my kids into gambling.

Basically, it is about personal perception. I guess everyone may have a different view of it. For me, I don't think it is a good idea. To involve family to play gambling will be likely to bring negative impacts even if it can rise joyfulness. I can't imagine if all family members become addicted to gambling. There are lot of other activites from which fun and entertainment can be achived, so why chose gambling for children which will have real bad effect on them ?
Who told you that gambling increases the intelligence ? Gambling does increase laziness of getting / winning the money without doing any hard word and i will not recomment it for the school going childrens.

yeah i also gamble with my mother and with my relatives too but just at home. I never experienced gambling with them in a casino and i don’t think it’s appropriate to gamble with my parents in such place. Although i did gamble in a casino with my cousins and siblings already.

That's Filipino even our parents we can bonding to thw gambling like playing bingo.  In my country when the family bored they playing gambling which is the Bingo and all the players will be relatives and the bet only is a little and for those person who win they will trear the family that's the bonding of the Filipino citizens. I feel there is nothing bad about doing so. After all they are your parents and the win or loss does not make sense for if you win or loose, the money stays in the family. It creates a sought of economic understanding among them for kids at time do not know much a lot about life happenings and one such games, elders tend to be pretty friendly and share good old stories.
