Hello,

I'm working with a company called Loomio (www.loomio.org), which is a decision-making software, which is interested in rolling out some support for accepting bit/dogecoin on our site.

We've set up some wallets as you can see here: www.loomio.org/wallets, and wondering if there might be any additional advice for us? Are there recommendations for hosting (which web wallet? Should we invest the time/energy in a desktop solution?)

What good or bad experiences have you had with sites supporting bitcoin payments / donations?

Thanks!

Welcome aboard. Happy to see more businesses joining in. I recommend just reading around the forums, in your case, you should browse through or post a question in the Trading discussion subforum.

welcome first of all  Smiley

Now all i can suggest you is to get a wallet on blockchain.info for accepting donations when people actually start donating your company then you can move the coins into  cold storage  /paper wallet as its not recommended to store all your coins  in online wallets !! Smiley good luck

Hi,

Are you more interested in accepting donations, or are you interested in accepting Bitcoin as payment? What is your business model? One time payment or recurring payment?

If you move to a store type model, i.e selling services or subscription, then you might check out companies like coinbase which basically supply you a plugin which will allow you to accept fiat or btc.  they do the conversion in real time based on current exchange rates.
