I want to ask everyone who got into bitcoin towards the end of 2017 and is currently at a loss,
Obviously, you will just loss if you sell them, isn't it? But if you're still holding it technically you haven't loss any. like myself What will you do when the market goes up and you get your money back. Sell or just keep holding? Will just keep holding it. Imagine that you be able to hold it for years since you bought it then why not wait for more years. Not unless you need money badly, that's another story.

I want to ask everyone who got into bitcoin towards the end of 2017 and is currently at a loss, like myself What will you do when the market goes up and you get your money back. Sell or just keep holding? if i have bitcoins bought at the all time high price i would keep holding until the price reaches a new all time high price, that way holding bitcoins for a long time will be paid, but it's hard to tell what price will be the new all time high, i guess i will sell it at profit so i wouldn't go home with a loss again. Keep holding the coins we bought during all time high prices and wait till the next bull run to come. Meanwhile, we can make another investment while the price is below it. Try not to regret it too much by doing other stuffs is the good way to minimize the pressure.

I guess you'd have to hold? I didn't get anything during all time high, but to pump it that high alot of people would have had to!
May as well wait 5 years and see where you land. If you don't think something today will be worth as much in 5 years time, you shouldn't invest in it. Nothing to lose by holding to that principle now.

If we reach a new ATH i will probably cash out the half of my assets for liquidity reasons and keep the others in my wallet in order to diversify my actions. We don't really know if we reach a new ATH when this is going to stop. It may continue to keep rising for a significant amount of time so I would definitely not want to miss this opportunity of making more money that will help me take better decisions in the future.

If you bought Bitcoin during its ATH $20,000, you should have continued to buy more when the price dropped sharply. At least it would have lowered your cost price per Bitcoin. If you don't have a budget then no problem, move on. Now if I were you, I'd think about a few things:
- Am I able to accept losses and can I afford it financially? - Am I able to absorb the debts in a reasonable amount of time? - Can I afford to wait until I reach a possible break even, and resell everything in order to at least recover my initial investment. - Am I still confident that the price of Bitcoin could go up?
The only thing about the last 2 points is that you have to remember that you are speculating on a situation (which may or may not happen) I think it depends on everyone's personal situation and mindset. I would wait to recover at least my funds but I would also set a point where I would to admit the losses and sell with a deficit.

Sell or just keep holding? I did not buy bitcoin when the all time rise happened towards to end of 2017, but if you ask me since those that bought at that time can afford the patients to wait till this moment and eventually till when the price reach the amount they bought at that time, I don't think it will be a big deal to remain positive and wait till you get some profits on your investment. But that is a hard decision any way.

I will sell for sure and wait for it to go low. If there is an up there would be down trend sooner or later. So, it is wise to not hold coins in previous all time high IMO. Bitcoin in past years has showed the cycle of price movement. There won't be a constant uptrend for a long time. So, utilize your funds wisely. If you are too concerned about making money by hodling then, just keep a percentage of your funds for hodling and see how it goes.

Before the bull, I try to sold it but after Bull, I'm try to hold it. It's human nature called greed and most people will do the same.
If you make the determination for being an investor, you will decide to hold it just like I did over 5 years !

Sell or just keep holding? I will still just hold my coins and wait for the right time to sell, so I will just keep on holding my coins than to lose a lot, bitcoin price drops so hard and we all know that so for sure if you buy with the last all time high then you lose a lot today for sure.

I will still hold the altcoins and bitcoin that I bought since 2017 in my wallet, and I don't have a problem with that. I don't want to sell it right now because that means, I only get lost, and if the coin can increase in this year, then I will get a big loss later.
No problem if you cannot make a profit from the coin now because you don't sell the coin and only wait for the price to increase later, so you still have a chance to recover the money that you used to buy that coins.
But I still buy bitcoin whenever it's down so I can add more bitcoin in my wallet and I can hope that when bitcoin price increase then I can make a big profit later.

I think everyone that bought bitcoin back in 2017 when bitcoin hit its ATH have now already sold everything and are long gone from this crypto world. For those who are still holding the bitcoin they bought back in 2017 , they will probably sell it as soon as the price reaches 20k again and then never come back to cryptocurrencies again since for most of them it was just a nightmare.

you have to have been very lucky to have bought bitcoin in that very short time when price was near the ATH because it was indeed short and the number of "new" people who came into bitcoin is a handful.
as for what to do, you must have had a reason for holding those coins this long. if not then you must have found a reason. and if not then it is not too late to start making up your mind, try researching more about what bitcoin is and see if you can find those "reasons" why bitcoin is a lot more valuable than these silly prices. and if you can't then just sell and say goodbye.

The most important thing is not to sell Bitcoin now when you are at a loss. At the next Bull-run, probably Bitcoin's price will be higher than the maximum price reached at the end of 2017. However, to be sure of profit, you can still buy a Bitcoin now, and when the price reaches $ 20,000 again, you can sell both and you will make a profit. There are many ways to make a profit, it's important not to withdraw your investment when you are at a loss.

anticonformist, your investment was unwise and at the wrong time, no doubt about it. But when you saw that price reached its peak and that the situation is changed you could sell it with minimal loss. The fact that you have not yet sold your coins tells us that you still believe that someday you'll will return your invested money, and very probably make some profit. What you need to know that every new ATH is bigger than the previous one, and my advice is to wait in case you do not need money. Last ATH is result of 20x increase in price, and if next can be at least 10x from current price you can double your investment

I want to ask everyone who got into bitcoin towards the end of 2017 and is currently at a loss, like myself What will you do when the market goes up and you get your money back. Sell or just keep holding? Lucky that i had sold half of my bitcoin at the hype and holding the half untill now in which stands as my profit already so I don’t care about the prices because i am into longterm But about your problem I believe that you stand to hold more than a year then why sell when you only got back your money?if i were you then wait for another set of time to hold

I want to ask everyone who got into bitcoin towards the end of 2017 and is currently at a loss, like myself What will you do when the market goes up and you get your money back. Sell or just keep holding? I did not by Bitcoin during the ATH, but I was saving some amount of it and did not sell it then, thus losing quite a lot. I also bought Ripple at ATH price, but it was only a couple of coins. I exchange some crypto for fiat regularly, but I now have a certain amount I am not withdrawing until the price reaches $20k or close again. Holding means that what's been lost can be regained, so for now it seems to be a good strategy.

I want to ask everyone who got into bitcoin towards the end of 2017 and is currently at a loss, like myself What will you do when the market goes up and you get your money back. Sell or just keep holding? I think I will sell 50 o 60 percent of it and will still hold the others. I already get over with the lost I had, I have extra cash now and you know what? I am still buying little by little in the current market state. So far the outcome is good and hopefully this will continue. This the days I have missed so much when most of the coins are in green. If I run out of cash in the upcoming weeks, gotta sell my gold accessories and add it to my BTC holdings.
