David Chaum is an OG in the world of crypto gaining notoriety from his invention of DigiCash in 1989. Having flown under the radar for the past few years he's been building his own Bitcoin competitor called Elixxir. Claiming he wanted to build it privately and get it working before he wanted to present it to the world. I'm fond of this guy and believe the project to have a lot of potential.

Wow, this guy has a good reputation, and it's a good start for a project, a developer with a good reputation in the market, I do not know this guy I've read some info about him in Wiki Pedia, will bookmark his website and see what he is going to offer to the community, we have so many copy-paste technology right now or algo, we need something new and unique.

This guy is really very smart, talented, popular, and he has many prospects. But is this enough to beat Bitcoin?

This project is getting a lot of attraction from the community. they recently just had their betaatest node application and had over 870 applicants from around the world! We know with any project to be successful it needs the community. Even states that in the article posted on thread

I am also eager to see what he has to offer and I believe too that he will be coming up with something great, He would have overtime studied the market generally to see the lapses, and these lapses are what he will use to better the crypto system.

The only thing I don’t know is if he will be coming up with a centralized coin or a decentralized coins since I learned that he is coming up with something similar to Bitcoin and his own image is already known, unlike BTC, people still have more confidence in BTC because of his hidden identity, he might not really succeed under centralized market system.

This project has been really hyped, I have been seeing it all around this forum. I can see that david is really loved by a lot of people, and I have a good feeling about this project that it would bring a very major change in the crypto space positively, I also believe that the current increase in the price of bitcoin we are experiencing is as a result of his project, I might be wrong though but that is my best guess, all I can just do is to hope that he delivers the best and not fail those that believe in him because once trust is lost, then all is lost.

Wow, I am very grateful for this piece of info, now people will agree with me that whatever knowledge that needs to be acquired about cryptocurrency can be gotten from bitcointalk. I have always been hearing of Elixxir, but I never knew the source of this project.

If it is true that someone I can call the main funder of blockchain technology is coming back and developing its own projects, then I see another big boom in the crypto market but I doubt if he can really compete with BTC, I understand that people will respect and accept him for who he is, but he once failed, so what assurance do we then have that Elixirr will not fail same way Digicash failed.

The project itself is made by David Chaum and I respect that guy as the mastermind for cryptographic protocols but the community speaks that bitcoin will stay at the top. I'm eyeing for the project and been following on how's the update.
As long as him and his team will work on it continuously, they can reach the top and popularity will come to their project. But if the topic is all about beating bitcoin, many have asked and said it before to bitcoin but no project actually won.

I believe that bitcoin and Elixxir will have two different use cases. Bitcoin will become the new gold standard where as Elixxir is a privacy platform with a messaging dapp. We can say it is "better' than bitcoin because it adds a few missing ingredients people today would request in a full fledged payments app
