Token Overview & Use Cases

The MATIC token has three key use cases:
• Participating in the Proof of Stake consensus: Matic sidechains enforce consensus using a Proof of Stake (PoS) layer in which network participants stake Matic tokens in order to participate as validators.
• Paying for the transaction fees in the network: The transaction fees on Matic sidechains are paid in MATIC tokens. The more users onboard to use the apps on Matic Network, the more the transaction volume and hence the transaction fees.
• Having taken inspiration from Livepeer and its "protocol funding the ecosystem" model, Matic intends to enable a separate staking mechanism for supporting the ecosystem projects. This will help create a fund out of the "block rewards" that can help support developers working on features and dApps needed by the network to get a part of block rewards. This mechanism is funded by reserving a percentage of the transaction fees in-protocol to support the projects building for enhancing Matic Ecosystem.


By Q1 2019, some of the projects built on top of Matic included:
• A Burner wallet (friction-free mechanism to move tokens quickly through a web browser interface and withdraw out to cold storage when complete) implementation for onboarding users to dApps with one-use wallets

Commercial Partnership and Business Development Progress

Matic has already partnered with several blockchain projects, including the following:

• Decentraland: Decentraland is a virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain. Users can create, experience, and monetize content and applications using a developer toolkit that works on any platform (all VR headsets and web browsers) and is designed to create virtual environments and applications. Matic is collaborating with Decentraland to scale the transactions that will occur as a result of user interactions within the virtual universe. This will include payments, NFT sales and eventually general game states and other data.

• Quarkchain: QuarkChain is an innovative permissionless blockchain architecture that aims to provide a secure, decentralized, and scalable blockchain solution. • Ankr Network: Ankr is a distributed computing platform that aims to leverage idle computing resources in data centers and edge devices. In terms of technology, Matic has a good idea with many cutting-edge features like flasma side chain, Dualstrategy of Proof of Stake, checkingpoints, proof of fraud, and so on. Sidechains are in general weaker thanmain chain but using fraud proofs and checkpointings can make it as strong as possible. Today i have checked their trading volume which is quite high above the ETH coin, i don't why people are showing a lot of interest towards the Matic coin, only because their IEO launched on Binance exchange. Most of the coins launched IEO in Binance exchange has increased their price highly and generating very good volumes.

It will not be so long dude, the pattern has shown we will face another bearish trend very soon. believe me some days later and you will see bearish trend happened with another altcoin was getting bullish trend. this is the time for matic to go back again to its initial price before matic got a pump from the whales. I have sold all of my matic and then put my order at the bottom.

MATIC has already had incredible gains.  After the expected correction it has stabilized and is already rising at a greater rate than btc AGAIN....

And this coin is relatively UNKNOWN.

Expect another stratospheric rise once it's name recognition increases.  And of course this will happen with the coinbase listing that is about to happen.

It has contributed and i guess you should give a red marker to the contributed word. But you must read the whole of thread carefully and that's already mentioned if this project is still in the testnet and that means there will be a main net in the future. It much better to talk with the team directly through its telegram group.
