Does this help you out? Link: https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013786654-How-to-reload-or-upgrade-firmware

If you need to fix the file system, see this one: https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/231982428-S9-firmware-upgrade-failed

Please notice that if you use a 2019 firmware version, you will lose the SSH access.

You may find  mac os browsers don't do the upgrade.
I have found windows 10 works better  to do the upgrade from then using a  mac os.

I mine alt coins with https://simplemining.net...
I see BTC as the super highway and alt coins as taxis and trucks needed to move transactions.

I'm sorry. I wasn't clear. I need to flash a new control board.

Can you still access the control board through browser and IP or you are planning to flash the Control board through SD card?

You can follow this guide below.

S9 series (S9, S9i, S9j, S9 Hydro) Control Board Program Recovery.
