I smell of a fudster trying to troll the community, err? what for? Giving all of these verbal stuff doesn't supported by any is just a plain attack. Simply does this mean, they would target us small users to stop Bitcoin? They would target exchanges and block bitcoin transaction broadcast (If possible?). If this happens then this will not just affect Bitcoin right, it will also affect Altcoins.
That can't be possible, so you mean the government will run through our IPs and block it? Perhaps that will be violates our security though. I suggest you to stop over thinking.

I was lost for a moment and when I saw the trust ratings of the guy I was then given light. He is saying what? But anyway what ever comes I will be online for most of the time so I will be checking daily updates, bad or good.

@OP i really don't know what to make of your post, where is the sense in this post with little or no information at all, you want to warn people of any possible danger then support it with detailed information why you feel people should be aware of your experience, Hope you are not just trolling and trying to cause panic in the minds of the very gullible one's.

Well, since you didn't go into details of what your findings and suspicions are, we are going see this as another Bitcoin FUD. Regulations aren't a bad thing per se, if you asked me. We have seen instances where it actually helped boost the market confidence. We have seen that in Stocks and Forex Trading. Nobody wants to invest in an unreliable and unstable industry (cryptocurrency as it is right now). I think this is what the big guns think is wrong with cryptocurrency and this is what is keeping them away.

As far as I know most governments are based on democratic processes, so if regulations are to be made they probably will be done in the interest of its people.
And if am right communities like these help give insights about the consequences regulation could have on the crypto ecosystem.

Not much of detail out there. It would be great if you detailed about your experience so that we can take caution if something like that is about to happen. As of regulation, its been there for years though it has not been refined. The government will always take action especially when it became phenomenal. They always wanted to be in the spotlight of everything. So I guess it is too vague on what you are trying to imply here. I hope you come back here and tell us what it is you are warning us about.

Thanks for trying to warn the bitcoin community but you didn't tell us what you experienced today so if you'd be kind enough to give us the details your info will be greatly appreciated
Yeah right and he didn’t even tell why he was trying or sold his bitcoin ,seems that the story is incomplete ,but anyway this is just another “good advice “as what others say But for me this is another kind of FUD to shaken crypto community since this kind of advice has been pointed here in forum for long and yet nothing happens. The world woll never deny bitcoin and the cryptocurrency because many countries believing on what this can give

If this is the case then it will really affect the crypto space especially those investors and the traders. Governments have an eye in cryptocurrency now and it may perhaps be true that they have something in their minds to probably interfere crypto community. But despite of that, bitcoin will stand and will not be shaken with the government's authority.

the government regulations and all of their shenanigans have been all around us for many years, possibly even from day 1 that bitcoin (a new currency that wasn't controlled by them) was created. which makes it one of the oldest things around and it is not that "evil" and it definitely is not a reason for you to start panicking over it. not to mention that not all regulations are bad! we have had pretty good regulations too. remember 2017 and how Japan adopted bitcoin with open arms?

The only problem that Bitcoin faces is that it will become too expensive for most people. It was created as an experiment for the replacement of the failing fiat system. It is now being accumulated by the banking elite, and it is obvious that it will become the gold standard in crypto. Governments are just the implementers of the deep state policy makers, so they won't do anything to destroy it. They might try to deflect if if too many countries try to adopt the policies of Simon Bolivar though.

Do you mean the recent tether scandal? Well seems crypto are always that unpredictable, a single FUD could crash the price down... multiple stop loss was always been there for unforeseen circumstances. Crypto is there to stay as always for me. Arguably existing monetary system are good enough with banks, but still far away from a seamless, cross border transaction among businesses, which shone some projects that were working hard to deliver values.

It is likely that this is another intrigue from the OP. We looked at your trust, you also tried to tell something about PayPal once. Today you are misleading everyone about the government of which country it is not clear. Perhaps you should be more intelligible so that there is no whole stream of questions and all sorts of conjectures.

you are being too dramatic here with your "warning" and usage of word "evil" the only evil that bitcoin has ever faced was the take over attempts by many different groups (possibly some even government funded) to push it towards a more centralized state and this is an evil that we will continue to face since they don't want to lose control but they see it happening as bitcoin gains more adoption.

I'm not over thinking it. It is possible (okay maybe) in some ways. They did it before by making ISPs abide rules, on blocking porn sites, or even detecting child pornography websites and users.
Yeah they already did it but we can still use vpn if that actually happens. However, I've just talked to my cousin in Qatar and just mention about bitcoin and it surprise me when he told me that searching anything about bitcoin is prohibited like you can't even search about bitcoin, perhaps it's banned. The bottom line is technology is really growing while we're being fortunate that our country perceive cryptos positively.

ISPs can do this easily by applying it to their own settings. Even you can setup it up on your router. Check out OpenDNS.

As a high ranking member of this community you should be well informed on how things are done in the forum, you just came in here and give a panicking insight to what the government are planning to do without giving details of your experience. This may cause many newbies to panic and you know what that means.
@okala, atleast, i was couragious enough to come back to one the most popular bitcoin forum to start-up a thread above . It' upto you to go do your assignment alternatively, you can keep trading, mining your coin ... b/cos time will tell. Thanks Btcseo
