There's a ton of exit scam ICO's within this community. Anytime a crypto enthusiasts tries to speak up, they are usually silenced by the deceptive company. With Tipestry, you can now comment on any page without the fear of being censored. You can also tip users in crypto if you like what a specific user says. I encourage any of you to start speaking up about companies that are scamming users. Companies are STILL scamming users to this day...if you see something suspicious use Tipestry to expose them to the community. Tipestry - https://tipestry.com/

Now many ICOs do not believe in investors, it is better not to invest in ICO which has a scammerz but here we must really choose the best rather than be silent.

If you can only see my wallet you can easily tell that the ICO is full of scam, almost 25 coins with no value I just received those coins but the devs run away with the money, not to mention ICO that did not give stakes to their bounty hunters, I can not keep up with the numbers there's just to many of them.

The forum has a certain section for knowing what are the scam projects. Go and see the Scam accusations board to know most of them. There are many volunteers who are catching those scam ICOs. You need to be vigilant before investing or joining a bounty.

I didn't hear any investor got much profits from invested on ICOs so we are really not getting any benefits for the risks we are taking so as you said it is better to avoid those new projects rather than risking and making nothing or lose everything.

I believe there will be always scams and frauds no matter where you live. Centralized or decentralized both are possible for people to get scammed and to lose their valuable assets. But, I think in crypto space we all have been warned to trust nobody, that's why we should be more careful anywhere, anytime.

In the land of anonymity and decentralization we can not do away with these scam ICOs. That's why we need somebform of a regulating body that would control ICOs in the commubity. This way nobody without some sort of certification and approval cannot launch an ICO and steal the money of investors.

In last year we saw huge number of scam and fake icos and that has really damaged the reputation of icos and community has stopped taking these icos seriously because of the threat of being scam that is the only reason filtered projects are now being listed and raising funds on exchanges and are called IEOs.

And what will Tipestry do besides exposing them? We have a Scam accusations board here wherein people can put their accusations with proof and then the community will decide if it is indeed a scummy project. That's why if you are a newbie here, it's better to check that board first before investing. Here is the board, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0.

DT members in the forum work effectively to tag scammers with negative trust, and feedback. Yesterday, the admin stepped in and gave us another feature, that is usually for Guests whom don't log in account to read topics. From now on, Guests can instantly see Warning if they visit OPs created by scammers. Guests - Read Warnings on potential scam projects started by Neg Trust UsersWith this helpful feature, I believe less investors will get scammed.

Too many fake projects, they just want to try to find the rest of stupid investors who are having the same dream of being rich from it. I haven’t heard some one recently really profit much from ICOs. It’s just like a casino.....

The more important question is why should the tokens you hold have any value? Do they need to have value for the system?

Now very many ICO scams. It's better to now not invest in the ICO, but if you already know or can choose a good ico it doesn't matter. I just finished working on a bounty for 37 weeks and it turned out to be a scam, very sad.

There is one thing crypto world has thought me and that's don't ever join ICO that has no reason to be released, the product they trying to offer won't work, if you noticed this just walk away, many bounty hunters are promoting scam projects because of higher rewards. Dyor very well

Scam is present in all spheres, cryptocurrencies are no exception. A thorough analysis of the projects partially helps to cope with scam.

There's always scams where money is involved. It's upto the investors to decide where to invest their money. ICO's are not that sure profit scheme they were in the early 2017. For any investment to get profit, the business they fund should be profitable. Startups issuing ICOs can't just make money out of thin air. Only the well planned projects with dedicated team and with a profitable market would yield a profit.

Hard to genuinely identify a scam ICO, okay first things the white paper must be good but its too early if one is written professional but in the end still exited. ICO nowdays are managed differently by third party that handles KYC and other stuff, still i'm not sure whenever the investor funds are es-crowed in case there's exit scam. there should be less clue too as marketing team are always good at managing people. ICO from me is really dying as IEO is taking over the big screen, soon scammer would lose interest and move on to another scam

As a Tipestry user I can say whenever someone does quality comprehensive commenting that could be theoretically exposing things similiar to Bitcointalk I tip them crypto like Dogecoin or a small amount of ETH. So it is definitely helpful. I've made several thousand Doge by posting stuff as well. Its less a exclusive forum and more of an addition to the browsing experience. For example: *browsing the internets cryptoverse* *stumbles upon new ICO* *investments pouring in, softcap reached, looking revolutionary* *presses the tipestry extension button, see's someone commented on the ICOs website* *its a bunch of evidence that its a total fuckin sham* "Wow thanks random dude heres a dollar of doge[Suspicious link removed]d chap" Seem feasible?

But in the sphere of ICO, as far as I'm concerned, there are more scammers than in any other sphere, because scammers now create projects, collect money and hide

I think that all depends on how you determine the ICO project. Some ICO projects that I participated in were successful and of course, I was very happy. ICO fraud is indeed very troubling but does not make me give up on continuing to join the ICO.
