I'm finding this very interesting as I only just noticed this now but my old wallet got updated to have a native segwit receiving address)(beginning bc1) which I think is a great step for this app. With its notifications too it might even be the best out there for android now. (I'm referring to the Andrea's schildbach bitcoin wallet app)...
Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

(I'm referring to the Andrea's schildbach bitcoin wallet app)...

I didn´t knew this wallet.

I just made a small research about it, quite interesting to know it was the first bitcoin mobile wallet ever. I will download it later to check it out.

The Schildbach Bitcoin Wallet (simply Bitcoin Wallet on the Android store) was the first Bitcoin wallet for mobile and it has over a million downloads. It was created in order to simplify Bitcoin transactions for anyone who wants to invest in the cryptocurrency and has many useful features that its users appreciate. Many new mobile wallets were developed based on its open-source code.

Nowadays we have some good options for native segwit wallets for android.
I like to use Samurai and Coinomi (which i know is not open source, but I really like it).

I use coinomi quite a bit too. I'm hoping to switch over to trezor now though. I do really like the andreas wallet though, it's the first wallet I used for btc, ltc and doge (since litecoin and doge just changed two tiny parts of the code they were fast to release their versions of te wallets).

It is a really nice app and it runs from bitcoin core clients that accept json requests so it's even nicer than most others like coinomi which I assume just have one central server.

Does it have support for legacy compatible segwit addresses? The ones that start with 3xxxxxx instead of bc1qxxxxx.

You can even set this wallet to connect to just one particular full node, if you run your own. Greatly improves security that way.

No it doesn't have nested segwit addresses (the ones starting with 3) it's probably one of the few let downs of the app.

Yeah and you should be able to use litecoin and other bitcoin forks from it too (haven't tried that though, maybe I should)
