I am aware of localbitcoins, however their demands for ID to post even the smallest offer are unacceptable.

Bisq looks fantastic but few are using it so far.

I'm also aware of hodlhodl.com

What else is there?

Thanks.

Re: Best options for advertising face to face bitcoin for cash?

You mean transacting, right? Tongue

Another option would be the Mycelium Local Trader[1]. Can't say anything about it though, as I've personally never used it. Though as far as I know, they don't require KYC.

I don't know any platform to buy bitcoins directly from a person aside from Localbitcoins.
I just wish that they could set a minimum amount where Kyc is needed. The Kyc that they require is acceptable since we're transacting directly with individuals. They just want our transactions to be safe and secured.

If you have joined a group, group chat on facebook, you can probably sell your bitcoin to them. As of now, I created an account that is named bitcoin and there were people from different parts of the world who wants to buy bitcoin from me. You can also try that to a group on your country.

I never knew if localbitcoin now use KYC for the member because the last time I check my account, I don't have to fill KYC, but I see that the verified button on my setting profile. I think you could still use localbitcoin to buy and sell bitcoin and after you made one transaction with the recommended seller, you can ask his mobile number so you can directly contact him/her if you want to buy bitcoin. I think that is the simple way to buy bitcoin from the seller in localbitcoin and you don't have to login into the site because you already knew the seller.
The other way is you can try to search for local exchange around your country so you can directly use them to buy and sell bitcoin.

I use localbitcoin since long time ago, and some users demand for ID, but not all of them. That's why i still using it, because the ID is optional. But would be nice to have more services like this. I think localbitcoin will start asking for ID to all their users because gobs are pushing this kind of business trying to avoid the money laundering.

Surely the easiest way to trade bitcoin for cash with a minimal risk of being scammed is to use a bitcoin ATM, if there is one near your location? You could also try to find someone close to you in the currency exchange board. You quite regularly see people posting in there who are looking to buy or sell in person.

I think P2P is the best for such. If you get a group in your state, you can be safe for such transaction and they will have people who secure the transaction.

But that creates a problem. We don't have any escrow or a trusted person in between our trades with the opponent.
The problem arises on who should go first and the risk is for the sender. What if you are the sender and you sent him bitcoin but he never paid the money for it to you.
Or lets say you wanna buy BTC and you send the money to the person but you never receive the bitcoins.
This is why P2P exchanges are a better deal. Although KYC is an issue but it provides a better platform to make deals with strangers.

LocalEthereum, HoldHold are alternatives to check. I would search for public places like forums etc. You will probably have more luck to find someone from your country.

Surely the easiest way to trade bitcoin for cash with a minimal risk of being scammed is to use a bitcoin ATM, if there is one near your location? You could also try to find someone close to you in the currency exchange board. You quite regularly see people posting in there who are looking to buy or sell in person.

Fees are outrageous, like 10%, and you still have the KYC. The machine scans your ID card and takes a selfie. You may also need to travel across the country since there aren't many (1 or 2)

If you cannot find a great marketplace where you will be able to offer your Bitcoin to cash, then it is the best option for you to build your own marketplace. A simple social media is enough to offer a bitcoin with a nice volume of audience. If you want, you may also try to look for a bunch of bitcoin-related groups on Facebook and start advertising there. This is definitely the best option you can have in selling your bitcoin to cash.

This is an intermediary that can connect sellers with buyers and can continue to business further when everyone starts believing in you, I myself have never used local Bitcoin before but it looks good and easy in dealing with interfaces, markets can be made by everyone, there something simpler like buying or selling on the exchange and can also buy at a Bitcoin ATM, if you want to look for anonymity, I only recommend using P2P because it's all for the security of personal data.

Since there will be no collateral then it will be difficult to just say "I promise I will pay".
It aint a trustworthy world anymore. Every human doubts another which is why we have war.

Here in this forum though there might a chance to buy bitcoin for your cash. First, look at that trusted person. One with a green mark under his name. Try to read some feedback about their deals and reference.
Next would be problem. What could you offer to make him believe you are serious even though you only have a low rank account.

You might get lucky here instead of doing KYC in every exchange.

Back then, that's what I believed until I encountered a organized local groups in social media which I still a part of it until now. Trades happened there via meetup or escrowed by reputable admins there.

Unfortunately, not all countries does have an organized and well built local community social group that's why it's risky to deal on any social platforms but can be considered if OP is really looking for an options. Obviously, common sense should be used in dealing with anyone.

Now to the OP, I think the most convenient way for you is to find a trade person in Currency Exchange section of the forum and it's a must to used a service of a reputable escrow here.

Since you don't want the idea of doing KYC's, you really have to faced the other way around which might involved risks and hassle way.

The energy these people are using to enforce KYC on people or their users, if they can only channel the energy on making crypto adoption solid, by creating more awareness. KYC is not a bad thing though, as we all understand the main reason why it is needed, but we have come to realize that people that should not have any need for KYC like the site you mentioned are now enforcing it on people.

I don’t know anything that can be done that much to control it and it seems to many people as if it is already going out of the line of blockchain technology, which may be part of the things discouraging crypto investment too.

I am aware of localbitcoins, however their demands for ID to post even the smallest offer are unacceptable.

Bisq looks fantastic but few are using it so far.

I'm also aware of hodlhodl.com

What else is there?

Thanks.

Just create your own site and start advertising your offers on it. Grin

I don't suggest anyone for face to face transactions just do it online where you have more convenience and there are some sites doesn't require ID as well.

Sooner or later LocalBitcoin will impose such KYC just to solve out this money launderers but for now we should still cherish that freedom and its true that ID verification is still optional depending on some users.
I cant think of for another services yet i do only make use of Localbitcoin in regards with these kind of transactions.

I usually don’t get myself worked up over KYC issue, it is absolutely nothing, majority of us have done KYC locally and it has not killed us, there is no bank account that we will open or trying to get an international airport that does not require KYC to be done, so this practice has been part of us.

It is the same thing that is being interpreted to these companies too, they need it to avoid fraudulent practices on their site, which I think they have all right to request for, so it is now left with us to carefully choose whom we submit our vital information to, we should not just be dropping our detail on every crypto site we see.
