Do we need / does anybody want a single moderated announcement thread?

Title kind of says it all. Sometimes we can spend a ton of time here on the forum. Other times we can't. Because of this you can no see postings about or sales threads of new coins.
Due to life getting in the way I missed the M.O.A.B. thread and it's sale. I am reasonably sure others have had the same issue with other coins / collectibles.

So do you think a sticky thread at the top moderated by somebody (or more then 1 person) that just has a running list of new coins / collectibles and a link to the thread.
This way you can check in 1 spot and be done.

Good idea? Bad idea?

Very cool.  I didn't know this existed.  Maybe this is the thread that should be stickied, if one is to be?  Any chance you could add who makes which products?  I'm laughably ignorant when it comes to who makes what and seem to offend users when I ask them if they make a product.  I've actually made enemies just for asking that question, seriously.

What you have put together is amazing, I don't even want to think of how much time you have put into that list.

In my mind I was thinking of something a lot smaller.
Just 1 thread (pinned I hope) that just has this.

Perhaps also the release date or announce date. But this way you could look at 1 thread and know (somewhat) what has come out since the last time you looked.
No mintage / no other detail. Just look this was announced, click here to find out more. Some people might care about Nastyfans coins others might care more about CryptoImperator. Others care about all of them but like me might not have time to look. Or might be off the forum for a few days or a week and then have to slog through 2 or 3 pages. Between people selling their stuff, people discussing stuff it's easy to miss the announce threads.

As of now it looks like ChiBitCTy and OgNasty and I were the only ones who even cared.
If nobody else is interested I'll let it go. Mostly because I don't have the time to put into it, so someone else would have to do most of the work which would probably be a lot.

Bringing this back up again since there have been at least 2 people who missed out some things because the announcement / auction got lost in the piles of posts here.
One I worked a deal with to get him what he wanted the other one lost out. If they want to post / reveal who they are that's up to them.

But, the point remains the same. I still think we need a central post. But without the help of the people creating things and someone in the community to help with the posting / listing it's going to go nowhere.
So ~6 months later...anyone interested?

If you don't want to do it, I would be happy to open a self moderated thread for announcements of new coin/art/collectible offerings.  I would want the thread just to be announcements by the creators and a link to their Sales/ANN thread.  I would remove any commentary or discussion as that would belong elsewhere, the thread would only be for announcements.  I would not censor any creators, if a collectible exists it can be announced even if it is poop on canvas shaped in a BTC.  I have no clue if I could get the moderators here to sticky the thread and wouldn't ask until it was shown to be attracting enough announcements.

So long as the 1st post has the full list of links like I posted I think a VERY moderated thread is perfect.
No discussion. No opinions. Just the facts about the items.

Picking on Corrosive for a moment. There could be 2 links.
So you would see. (In a nice table)

In the rest of the thread nothing but 1 post per item and only for a limited time. 30/60/90 days. After that it's removed. This way the thread never has more then the last few months of new stuff in it. But the 1st post has a complete list of what is there. Also after it has been sold out the link to the sale should also be removed. In theory there is a link in the announcement thread to the sale anyway (which by the way Corrosive didn't do).

Because still picking on Corrosive. The diamonds were announced and then all were sold. There is no need to have more information then the link to what they are. The auction although important for determining pricing later would not really be important to the item itself.

LC if you are willing to do it and run with it that would be great. I have so much on my plate that I really think I would mess it up.

Yes, I would love something as convenient as this.
A thread that is easily readable, with just enough information to get a good overview of new products and related stuff happening in the collectible forum.
ChiBi's thread is amazing, but I see it more as a reference that I scroll through when I need to look up something specific.
The idea of a what's new thread with only recent happenings and only active sales/auctions, sorted by date or something would be much appreciated.

So glad somebody took up doing this.
The only thing I would change is to make the maker / item / thread into 1 long row. Kind of like I have it shown above.
It's just a bit more compact so you can get more on the screen without scrolling.

My opinion, nothing more. You are doing it so anything you want is great.

Also, let people know if you want them to notify you by PM or posting in the thread.
