I have used https://edge.app/ app on my phone before. And the strange think was the had my private keep and I just had the mnemonic seed.
Currently, I am holding my LTC in my exchange account. But, even in case of exchanges, private key is not with me.

Which is the best wallet to hold LTC for long time? Is it safe storing in an exchange?

I am a holder not a trader so, I rarely monitor or transfer funds. Thus, was looking for a wallet where I can store my funds and sit back with trust that my funds are safe.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah keeping them in an exhange is definitely not safe for long term storage.
I'm just keeping them in my ledger nano hardware wallet, which is not that expensive to purchase.

If you have more than a couple of hundred dollars worth of Litecoin, I'd suggest buying a hardware wallet.
Ledger puts the Nano on sale sometimes, maybe wait for that.

Otherwise, can also recommend Electrum LTC

Hard wallet is the best for you in terms of security or if there's a great wallet on your place try to use it. Even if its binance or what, exchanges are not a good place to store your precious coins, if you do trading its ok but since you are holding, try to put it on a wallet where you have a control with your keys. Don't hesitate to spend some money on your hardwallet because your security is more important and it can save you more.

A Litecoin wallet is a software application that allows you to store, send and receive your Litecoins in a secured way. Some of the Litecoin(LTC) wallets focus on security more, some focus on its easy-to-use features.

It is important to choose the best litecoin wallets and the secure wallets. You can compare the wallets from litecoin wallets comparison and get the best wallets .Comapre and choose the best wallet for you.

The safest solution for you now is to use Ledger Nano S because this is the wallet with the highest level of security in this market and you will be safer to store all your assets there. I am also using for long-term portfolio and have not had any problems when using but before buying Ledger, you should study carefully because many fake Ledger are on the market and can make you losing money if not check carefully

One of the safest i can think of is the Ledger Nano S is the most popular hardware wallet available, and it supports Litecoin.

If you have a lot of Litecoins, this is the most secure and robust way to store them. It not only allows you to control your private keys, but they are also controlled in an offline environment. It comes with an inbuilt OLED screen, a backup seed key, and a pin code feature. This is how you can restore your funds in case something goes wrong with your hardware device

This is the best wallet so far https://electrum-ltc.org/
But that based on my experience because i used trezor and that wallet to store my litecoin. I never got any problem with it dude. But it's better for you to use hardware wallet to increase your protection and security

I'd choose to hold it on my nano ledger s.

You will have no issues with them if you will keep your coins there like Litecoin. Look at the suggestions of most, we're all pointing you out with a hardware wallet like Nano Ledger S.

There are so many good wallet that enables you to store your coin safely without having fears of hackers coming in to steal your coin, one of the wallet I like so much and I make use of to keep virtually all the coin I own is coinomi, coinomi is a mobile wallet that has over 120 coin wallet for you to store your coin in them without fear of being hacked, but if you are holding the coin for a long time, then I would advise you make use of hardware wallet.
