I don't know the project you are trying to talk about, maybe you should send us the link to the ANN thread that you say it's closed so that we can check it out, because this is my first Te of hearing this project name and might not be able to help you with the best reply until I make my own research about the project to see if it's has turned out to becoming a scam, or if you can find the link to the ANN, then you can give us the link to their website or their social media platform.

Why did you close the telegram chat where we could write and why did you close the ANN page so we can't write any more?

Why did you close THIS ANN page? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2448767.0

I invested thousands in this project and my investment now is worth $100

Thanks a lot for repaying us investors in this way for our trust Sad
You spend THOUSANDS to put ads everywhere and have forbes write articles about you and in the end do nothing to develop the project after you grab 30 MILLION DOLLARS!!

Looking for a good project to work on

I don't think this project is a scam. Their website is completely working fine and there are many listings of various apartments and rooms for rent in many different cities. The listings look quiet active too.

Blah blah

You are right but it's a scam in the sense that the company has advertised heavily for their ICO but then did very little to promote the tokens in their ecosystem. So it's of course not a "fake" project but it's still a shady scam. I truly regret having fallen for this ICO.

And they closed their original ANN page and the interactive telegram channel because investors were complaining that they have entirely lost their funds because of rentberry.

It seems they are not a scam but still a shitcoin.

Rentberry was a hype project and raised 27.5m $. It is a rental platform which you can make an auction for your rentals (for that website need enormous userbase which they don't and won't). Ico price was 0.35$ and now $0,001243 per token. So investors still holding this token lost %99.7 so far.

And in return of their loss, rentberry choose to silence them and turn into announcement channel.

The downfall we live cause of projects like rentberry. Hyped but doesn't make any sense.

Welcome to 2018 Crypto.
If you invested in an ICO last year, there's a 99% probability you won't see your money ever again.
Maybe you should have invested in Bitcoin instead duh ?

Is bad that a lot of projects turn into scam, is better for now to stop investing on new projects in my opinion, but anyone do what they want, because of this scam projects we don't know where to invest and can miss some good oportunities.

I can not give an opinion about what the project is. But as far as I can see from the old posts, you have been informed. Actually, most of the projects recently acted like that. The project goes on until they are listed on any shit exchange, afterwards you can not find anyone to say hello.

i don't know the Rentberry project you mentioned but if they don't have the telegram or telegram their group has been deleted, maybe they are a project scam.

but it looks like Rentberry has given you the answers you need.

I have one investment that turned out like this as well. They can't be considered as scam because they are still "working" as they said. But the value is not even 1% of their ICO price. I can't sell it because I'll just get not even a penny out of it. The problem with this kind of project - once they are up and running but no clients using their platform, then where they can get their value? So their downfall is really imminent. Now, it turns to be a shitcoin where no one is interested to buy it anymore.

Rentberry you should make using the token OBLIGATORY for everybody using the platform this is the only way you can bring value up again and bring credibility to your project.

You spent millions to get people to invest in your ICO but now you are doing NOTHING to promote the tokens. Isn't that considered scam?

and where are the other investors who lost a lot of their hard earned cash in this misery of an ICO?

Rentberry is just of so many projects which were hyped up to the heavens and then when the ICO was done the team seemed to be just sleeping in doing their job. The output is nothing compared as they should be based on the WhitePaper and the Roadmap. In other words, the project is only good in the ICO stage and once the reality started and once the light has come in, people realized they are just looking at a hollow picture. Rentberry is one of the many examples why ICO as a crowdfunding platform got a bad rap and is now irreparable as people do not trust any project doing an ICO anymore. Forgive my rants, please.

One of my friends bought 5 ETHs when Ethereum was around $ 1000. The last time I asked him, it was all worth only $ 20 and he said he would never join the ICO again. Berry one of the biggest regret in his life. I don't know what is the position now.
