For the first time ever, we'll be seeing answers to both of those questions. BAT holders have a reason to be worried, but they're by no means doomed. Gab is forking Brave to create their own browser, and while on the surface it is a Gab vs Brave war, it really is a war between BTC and ERC20 tokens.

We'll have two browsers with pretty much equal userbases - Dissenter and Brave.
One will use LN, the other will use BAT.

Which one would you prefer and why? If you use neither of these, would you elaborate why that is?

How will Dissenter use BTC? They don't have advertisers and they don't have their own token to airdrop to browser users.

I don't see them as a big threat at all. Not to mention ICO funds mean Brave will get continuous support, and Dissenter will be a clone of an old version of Brave a few months from now.

Will the browser Dissenter give rewards on Bitcoin lightning network as Brave browser give BAT rewards? I only used a bit Brave browser but maybe i will use both when i have time, but both browsers are not a problem for bitcoin or for ERC20 tokens, they will be used as always.

I haven't explored more of Brave Browser and there's a new one which is Dissenter.

Brave browser is for BAT and this Dissenter is the one that will use LN. Well, LN hasn't been adopted massively but it has the potential to make small transactions ease to use. From the title itself, I don't really think that tokens are distraction from bitcoin as long as they have their own purpose.

Well tokens are really a big distraction for bitcoin right from it's inception especially in 2017 when a lot of companies started to rise up all in the name of ICOs, I know that with or without tokens, we might have seen a correction in the market, but I don't think it would have lasted this long, though they are now here to stay so there is nothing we could actually do about it for now since the market is a free market.

there is no war since nobody is using these browsers really. 99.99% of the world are still using Google Chrome, Firefox, and the couple of others that they used to use. not to mention that Brave has been around for a while and has not gained any grounds despite having the option to accept multiple cryptocurrencies in it.

Thanks to BAT we have browser, but that is all, we do not really need a token.
So Gab Browser makes a sense because how many of us have Bitcoin? But how many have BAT?
