The bank itself doing cryptocurrency transactions? I don't think so. If there was, even though the Philippines is just a third world country, chances are, it would be all over the news. Do you have a source?
There aren't any banks using crypto currency transactions. It firstly isn't appropriate to do for financial institutions due to the instability and the lack of legal classification. Secondly, the transactions are irreversible.

Financial institutions always need the security of having the option to reverse transactions, which is also the main reason some financial institutions are looking into the development of private blockchains they completely control.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

Since the rise of the cryptocurrencies, there are so many countries adopting it so quickly and one of them is my country (The Philippines).
in early 2014 one of the first online Wallet was created and that was Coins.ph, according to Wikipedia Coins.ph is a financial services platform founded in 2014 by Silicon Valley entrepreneurs Ron Hose and Runar Petursson in Metro Manila, Philippines. this wallet helps us a lot for using bitcoins in many ways. today I want to show you the use of Crypto Currencies in our country with the help of this Online Wallet.

1. Paying Bills with BTC

image loading...

With the help of Coins.ph It only takes a few seconds to pay your bills in our country, Select the bill type you want to pay. You can use Coins.ph to pay your utilities (electricity and water), government services, broadband, telco, cable, credit card, and tuition fees.

2. Buying Load or (Phone Credit) with BTC

image loading...

In our country, you can also buy a load with BTC off course with the help of Coins.ph. and wait, it has a 10% rebate too if you buy 100 php worth of load you get 10 php rebate. that was cool right?

3. Buying Game Credits with BTC

image loading...

Coins.ph is the only game credit outlet in the Philippines that charges zero fees. You’ll always get the exact amount you pay for! This one really helps me a lot cause I don't need to go on Town Just to buy a Steam Wallet Code, All I need to do was load my wallet and Boom! my Steam Account is loaded with credits.

4. Cash out at Thousands of Locations

image loading...

We can also cash out our Crypto Currencies through these options: eGiveCash at Security Bank ATM. No debit card needed. Padala Centers like
M Lhuillier, Palawan Pawnshop, and LBCBanks such as UnionBank, Security Bank, and 30+ other banks.
As of now Coins.ph support Crypto Currencies such as BTC, ETH, BCH, and XRP.

so these are the things we can do in our country with our Crypto Currencies, what about you? what can you do with your Cryptocurrencies in your country?

It is good to have such uses of btc in a developing country like the Philippines
In my country there is none of it yet, only interpersonal transactions between individuals.

Yes.I have my coins.ph wallet and believe me this is very beneficial and convenient to use since you don't have to bring your atm with you but only your smart phone alone then you are ready to go.Everytime i need my allowance i just transfer my money into some banks or remittance services that offers only small fees compared to others.

I know that app, that's coins.ph I have that installed in my phone and use it to exchange BTC to fiat in case I need emergency funds. But, I don't use their portal to pay for bills because they have a disclaimer that they accept bills payment only for those that are days aways from due date. So better use another portal to pay for bills.

You can use the app to pay bills when you are not home mostly on vacation or any other event. I find it very easy to buy steam wallet codes and any other game credits, but to pay bills I only saw nice feedback from other users. we are lucky we have this kind of Exchanges in our country.

I honestly don't see bitcoin being widely widely used(besides on countries that's overtaking economic crises) unless bitcoin becomes stable enough and unless wallets becomes too easy-to-use enough. It's going to take more years in my opinion.

I think mobile wallets are already somehow easy to use for a millennial (about 30-40 y) . The biggest problem I see is the lack of interest, as many people still see BTC as a get rich scheme

When traveling abroad BTC can be of great use, and also for remittance.

Though we can see the growth of crypto currencies in our country, we're still behind to other countries. Other countries started using crypto such as bitcoin in buying house and cars, in our country, Philippines, we can only use it to buy loads and game credits. The reason is there are still many people in our country who are afraid to use btc as mode payment. Some doesn;t even know that bitcoin exist lol.

Lately, I have heard house and lot selling and also they accepting bitcoin. I think that will happen time by time because people will trust that bitcoin and Coins.ph wallet will majority used in the Philippines where I currently residing at. You can trust this wallet because for 4 years I have been using this since I have known crypto I didn't hear any major complaints just like a scam or losing their fiat.

I think this is something we should all do well to adopt. It'll help to make the widespread of Bitcoin usage a dream come true. Currently in my country, I have seen no use case for my cryptos and so I either hold or trade and sometimes cash out. I don't know if this app works for every country. It'd be really awesome.

We are close to that cause central bank of the Philippines has approved 10 more major exchanges to be launched in our country. and some more  25 cryptocurrency licenses will be issued you can see that here: https://www.unblock.news/news/24-companies-now-have-ceza-cryptocurrency-licenses
with the bull run will come soon as we can see on the market. we will see much more good news regarding payment with btc.

We came from the same country so I'm experiencing what you are experiencing right now.

I'm comfortable using coins.ph because it is reliable and easy to use. You can convert cryptocurrency here (currently supporting BTC, ETH, BCH and XRP) into fiat currency and then you can pay your bills without going into their office or going outside. It is very handy for me.

There's a list of the top 20 most crypto friendly countries in the world: https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/top-20-most-crypto-friendly-countries-in-the-world/

It goes all the way from Malta being number 1 due to tax policies to Lithuania for being one of the first countries in the EU to develop guidelines to ensure safety and transparency with regards to ICO projects.

This means that we usually converted cryptocurrencies into fiat currency for us to use it to pay services or to buy some kinds of stuff but not a form of any crypto itself. This certain android app will help us to easily access our BTC wallet and we can make use of it wherever we are provided that we have internet. It soon to have some developments were accepted on small businesses as I saw that some of them were having crypto adoption.

There are some place in my country that accept bitcoin. But the number is very small. I live in indonesia, in cilukba.co.id we can buy baby clothes and it also has offline shop in semarang city. Sometimes I use bitcoin for trading, recently I start to trading again because the market is getting better. I think most of indonesian bitcoin users are use bitcoin for trading.

Sepertinya sudah waktunya, kalau menurut saya lebih baik lump sum sekarang. 30/01/2024.

You must be proud of this situation because in your country you can use bitcoin as a payment tool. in my country, I can't use bitcoin as a payment tool.
at this time my country does not have a website or application that is used as an online payment place that can accept bitcoin.
at this time me and my friends will try to encourage the government in my country to be able to accept bitcoin as a payment tool, besides that I will also try with my friends to build a website as a place of payment that can be paid with bitcoin.

It is really great.

I remember one time that my mother needed money but I can't give it to her directly since I am away and busy at work. At that time, people usually go to money remittances but I can't at that time so I just opened up my coins.ph app, and send that to the remittance near her. It is really helpful for a busy and lazy guy like me, I also buy some of the game credits here since most of the stores here add some price in their game credits, coins.ph is much cheaper.

For those of you who didn't know and I think you'll be happy to hear about it is that coins.ph was recently bought by Go-Jek a ride hailing Indonesian company that recently became a fintech company when they launch GoPay locally. With the recent takeover it is said that they are expected to add various services to the existing local wallet provider. Services that involves more about financing such as micro-loans, and insurance services is expected to be added in Coins.ph soon. For the Philippines it may not be enough that only one or two companies (the other one is rebit) is making cryptocurrencies look useful in the country but to tell you the truth when it comes to crypto adoption we are in a better position compared to other countries even banks such as UnionBank and RCBC are moving fast when it comes to infusing blockchain and crypto into their businesses.
Really mate?wow this is far.from my learning and all i know is that Coin.PH was owned by the 7/11 ownet as well but i am surprised of knowing this

And also regarding to what you've said about the plans of extending services and offers fron the said company thsn it is more usefulness that coin PH is facing another innovation

My country is Bangladesh. The use of crypto currency in my country is very low. Many people in this country do not know about the crypto currency, and many of those who know the crypto currency do not believe in the case of exchange. There are very few people in my country who use crypto currency in many cases. Our country's exchange system relied on most cash, yet the crypto currency in this country has not become popular and credible. So, in my country, the use of crypto currency is less.
