Selling tokens/low market cap coins for Bitcoin?

It's not a bad idea either. However if you intend to make a big profit from it, You cannot get a huge amount, you only get a little earnings from it because Bitcoin will not get a ATH like the Altcoins do. given that you invested your money on a real ICO (Not Scam) you only need to wait for their project full development so that you can sell their tokens at a higher price.

 didn't you ask yourself if it is not better to sell all of your low market cappitalization coins (mostly earned in bounty campaigns) and buy more Bitcoins?
Because I do not see any price progress in these altcoins,  like in 2017 bull market when all of these tokens were highly valuable and could make 1000% anytime.
Now most of them seems like dead. And I am asking myself: Now, it is the best time to sell them all and get atleast some Bitcoins?
Imagine that you sell all of your tokens for 1000$ and buy Bitcoin that costs now 5000$.
Imagine that you didn't sell and all of your tokens will still have same value, but Bitcoin will reach new ATH price.

Maybe we should be a little patient with some of these altcoins as some of them has started making some surprises move this days. I see coins like neo, Bitcoin Cash, ethereum, binance and litcoin make some serious gain these days and I could have regrets if I sold them early because of the way there were behaving early this year. Bitcoin is good and hardly any of this coins can grow without influence from bitcoin but that did not mean it is the most profitable!

A lot of this depends on whether its a good alt or not. Those that are good solid projects may fall on initial listing as most do, but once the product is given time to develop I would expect big increases. It really depends on the alt.
BTC is certainly the safer option, but this less risk also means less chance of big rewards. But don't give up on newly listed alts as soon as the price drops, it takes time to build a working product and to get the roadmap sufficiently advanced that people have something real to compare the coin's value against.

If i were you, yes i will sell all coins that i get from bounty campaigngs and buy more bitcoins or other top 10 coins on coinmarketcap.

Why? Because based on my experienced, tokens that you received from bounty campaigns when it listed on exchange, the price will fall so hard.

Guys, I used to always take part in many new projects that after a year have very poor performance and I see no Light on the horizon of their activities.  Prices have lost 100 x and even 1000 X. If we compare this situation with the current time, many new projects today after ico of the company or IEO show good results and at the same time the pricing of their coins is at a decent level.  Based on this, I suppose it is best to get rid of coins that do not show good prospects in the future in order to buy either Bitcoin or more popular cryptocurrency for these funds.

It can be ideal to liquidate your lower ranked assets and diversify into better quality ones if there is not enough liquidity or demand for them in the market, but if a project has long term viability and a sustainable ecosystem then it can be best to HODL

when in a position of upward movement in bitcoin it might be better to save bitcoin. but if the trend is on an altcoin then choosing etheruem or other assets is better. choose assets that might experience the fastest growth.

Bitcoin is performing more than any other coins in the market. It is better to sell all the tokens that you know are not doing well now than holding them and at the end, you will not get anything from those coins because some of them will never recover again. Some tokens are dying and many projects have been abandon by the developers and you should convert those coins to bitcoin.

if there is still a price I think there is no problem selling it. now what happens is that many altcoins are very cheap and don't move much. having bitcoin might be better. but if only from an altcoin like that I don't think the results will be seen that much.

Good for you and I lauded your for shifting to bitcoin and dumping all that shitcoins, lol.

As I have said before, this is no longer 2017, investors has learn that at this point, there will be no shitcoin that will give you x100 returns. It's better to dump then will getting a decent profits or take it like a man, suffer a loss and then move to bitcoin. So it really up to you guys out there who still believes that the shitcoin they are holding will give them a good profits by just holding it for so long.

Many investors and coin holders will do this to sell tokens that are not very useful and have a bad price. It will get worse if the team from the project doesn't do anything. So this is the right step to sell it and buy coins that are very well known to many people.

well, maybe thats really great strategy to collecting more bitcoin by selling unuseful altcoin in our bag
but, before you sell it, you should doing a deep learning about the project first, because sometimes a low marketcap coins will soaring without notifications

I think that's the better way to do specially if there's no progress to that token. Its not wrong because we just want to save what we earned it bounty or our asset that we have. Its better to buy bitcoin than to wait our token to gone their value.

I will sell my shit token from bounty, whent they really worth to get. But most of my bounty its a crap so i cant sell it, the price under 5-2$. Went i got around 100-200$ from bounty, i will try to convert with some major coin.

Selling tokens in order to have bitcoin holding? Maybe it's a very sure idea and to those tired of holding alts, this is a best strategy to do right now. Don't hope for impossible one, yet prefer for the better.

I think it's a smart strategy but how can you pay your monthly living expenses when you just hold Bitcoin for a long time?
To be profitable when investing in bitcoin, you need to hold for more than 2 years.
Therefore, you should consider for the bitcoin hold. I see some tokens still work quite well and sometimes it can pump up to 400% of the value.
