I think Charles Oliveira can win a fight against Holloway and I really like the odds on him.

I knew Hearn has been a boxing guy. Never heard that he is interested in MMA. I really wish Aspinall wont turn into pawn in Dana-Hearn boxing game. Dana and Zuffa are making their way in boxing industry, signing some guys (which earn more under contract than UFC guys, that is what MPV criticized UFC recently). They are stealing piece of pie from other promotions, so with Aspinall help, Hearn might try to revenge Dana. Anyway, Tom imho started to play risky game.

The hype is probably at 10% of what it used to be, but that's still high. People tend to forget how popular he was at his peak.
What puts me off from wanting to see him fight is the fact that he has physically changed a lot from his fighting days. He had that retiree vibe even a few years ago, when he probably played with some steroids to speed up the recovery of his broken leg. That + his alleged cocaine use turned him into a different man. His wit and charisma are almost gone.
He's not that old yet though, so maybe if he has spent the recent time on sorting himself out, he could still salvage a year or two of his mma career.
As for the potential opponent. It would almost definitely be someone in similar situation: famous but past his prime. Michael Chandler sounds perfect.

I think any UFC fighter would be tempted by a boxing contract. While MMA is one of the most popular sports today, boxing has a long history and billions of dollars in revenue. One big fight can generate more money than all UFC fights combined. However, if an MMA fighter chooses to become a boxer, the challenge is that they have to start from scratch. They have to forcefully change their fighting style. Perhaps they'll have an easier path to the main event, as happened with Ngannou. But there are many monsters out there, and I doubt any UFC fighter can survive. Just like a boxer who will lose if he tries to fight freestyle because once he gets taken down, it's over.

I think Conor's aura will remain, even if he doesn't get the hype he did in his prime. Conor will still be known as an icon in the UFC, and if he does fight, a worthy opponent would certainly be someone who is also past their prime but still has a reputation in the UFC. You've provided a great example. Chandler was able to gain attention in the UFC in a short time. Despite his many losses, he's an entertaining guy. I think a fight between the two would boost ticket sales.

Oliveira has the most wins by submission in the UFC with 16 so if the fight goes to the ground Holloway will have his hands full is all I am saying. in the end, everyone just gotta choose their career path wisely. I don’t think even as professional fighters, they are so excited to always see themselves jump on the rings but what can they do about it since it’s a profession.
I am of the opinion that Conor’s absence was a good one for him and his health. I understand his time away has made a lot of people question whether he is still the same fighter who once dominated the octagon, have not shown appearance for the last few years and in that time he has been involved in many off octagon ventures including his wiskey brand and the cigar business which has shown his entrepreneurial side .

I would say that the card looks good, for another numeral event it is great, but great for White House event. There is absolutely no drama in main fight. Gane vs Pereira for interim heavyweight title I am so glad for Pereira, he will be having a unique chance. But Gane...Another eye poking fight? And its another interim belt. Aspinalls belt is interim, he took it only because Bones retired. Now those two are fighting for interim. The winner would be interim-interim champion? Chandler vs Ruffy. I hope that Chandler will be able to beat at least Ruffy.
