All of us have recently seen the interest of major technology companies (Facebook , Samsung , etc...) in digital currencies.
Samsung has included a digital currency wallet in its latest phones , Galaxy S10.
And Now news comes about Facebook starting to raise  1 billion $ for its digital currency project.
Do you think big companies will succeed in crypto?
Will it become the master of it??

Everyone in the world has realized the future is of blockchain technology and crypto.
Tech giants would always be keeping their eyes open for anything new that could make a difference as there is tough competition and a single right or wrong move would make huge difference. Integrating the ecosystem of tech with blockchain would enable both expansion of service as well as dependence on the ecosystem. So, the first one to build a proper ecosystem around blockchain is going to be successful.
The future is IOT in blockchain.

This is the mass adoption we all hope to see in crypto. If these big companies can come in, the crypto space will shock all who had doubts about it. Even government will legalize it. Let the mass adoption come, big investors and companies, that's what the crypto space needs now.

During the year 2018, we witnessed blockchain technology steadily developing to the next stagepite cryptocurrency price decline. The cryptocurrency community is optimistic that 2019 will be the largest year in blockchain history.

This assertion is based on the development of some very promising blockchain projects then I think this big companies has a great chanc to success.

As I know Jaguar Landrover announce big partnership with IOTA recently.
Amazon announced using Ethereum as a platform for smar-contracts.
Facebook coin tries to make partnerships with MasterCard and Visa.
VK created a cryptocurrency.

Thats all I think from big partnerships that were announced recently.

These are good news for mass adoption of crypto.
Facebook is developing a payment platform with Face coin which will be a stable coin backed by 1 billion $.
If we consider that Facebook has over 2 billion active users monthly this is a very good news for the awareness and usage of cryptocurrencies.

If you look at the companies you have mentioned here, you will realized that they are very big players in the world of technology, their involvement in the cryptocurrency market will be one of the biggest boost for the market, just Imagine the effect of what the fund being raised by Facebook will have on the cryptocurrency market.

This step they have all taken is really a great one and I am sure that they will become a master of it, but they might never get close to becoming Master like Bitcoin. I see Facebook competing with ethereum and getting, more adopter of cryptocurrency for the market than any other project that has ever existed in the market apart from bitcoin.

I think they should better launch their project plan in accordance to the standards and procedures that are acceptable here on the bitcointalk community. What I am saying is that, they should conduct a proper campaign to raise such big amount of money to fund their project. And therefore, I am willing to join whenever there will be a signature.

Campaign what? Their platform is more than big enough to get them whatever they want without stress, is it Facebook coin that we are even using their platform to promote for other projects, Facebook have over 1 billion users that would really support their project when being exposed to, they don’t even need to go that far, internally, they can even raise the money within 2 days, but because it will be a system developed for the use of people, they may make it go public.

The news of them alone is already adding value to the market in preparation for their full implementation and when they release their product many of their users will full adopt their coin.

I think those companies will succeed in this industry if they have a good marketing strategies and promotion that they will do for their project. Marketing is the most important thing that we need to plan in every investment because this the key to make every project successful. In using social media I think this will become a good project.

The revolution in the blockchain has not yet arrived. I think big companies are paying attention to the blockchain and are beginning to realize the advantages of the blockchain. Investing in cryptocurrencies, I want to know what policies allow them to create? Maybe they will come up with other ways to evade government regulations.

I believe we are part of blockchain revolution which has already begun and is actually happening right now! The interest of different institutions including major tech companies on blockchain technology has never been so keen right now that some of them are  planning to develop their own blockchain projects and harness its power in the belief that it will give significant advantage to the company in no time and hoping  that   other companies will follow suit.

They will be master in their own space I agree with you because they are already big firms but that doesn’t mean that Facebook will be able to contend with Facebook in the market. Looking at ethereum is a payment system created to serve the need of people and merchants generally, so anyone can use ethereum as payment system for their product.

All these Facebook coin, Samsung coin will only be utility tokes to be used internally, that is within their system alone, which might make it a stable coin, so the volume and value needed to push ethereum away might not really be achieve, but they will fully perform well in their space.

Facebook may issue either a stablecoin, either some payment method only for their services and games, something that will allow them to cut some costs and maybe pay less taxes too.

Samsung goes into multiple directions: makes chips (for wallet security and maybe ASIC too), sells smartphones that can act (more or less) like hardware wallets and maybe makes his coin too for reasons similar to Facebook's.

The only good thing could be that their attempts adds legitimacy to crypto coins and increase the awareness. I think that they don't intend to make "one coin to rule'em all". I think that Bitcoin will remain "the master" for quite some more time.

It depends on their product they can make whatever they want but in the end the users will make decision and usually the coin that makes by the major companies wont be decentralised and need a bunch a document to used, but it will good if more big companies making new coin, more rivalry means more quality product

They are not interested in crypto currencies and I guess they created it to counter the popularity of coins like BTC and ETH.
In general , I guess many become happy by holding their generated coins and will never understand the purpose of BTC creation.

Hahaha, these guys are giant people the op mentioned, I think in this world of business, they still belong to the group of most popular businesses in the world, with the large database that they have, it will really take them a very little time for them to meet up with their fund raising.

I have just been hearing of Facebook fundraising, but I have searched all over the internet and have not seen where it is being done, which means, it wasn’t even opened to the public and done internally. If these guys really enter the cryptocurrency market, they will not only be master, they will be king of altcoins, while bitcoin remain their God.

The issues of large companies will make the digital currency itself may still be warm now. But no one stated that among these large companies would adopt blockchain technology or not be like other crypto.
I think they prefer to adopt other technologies that are more effective and efficient than blockchain, and they certainly will not create a decentralized digital currency.
