how and when and why you were in that situation?

Man is social animal and likes to talk. It is very easy to critically analyze anyone (it will be painful to get yourself humiliated and be analyzed.) I guess it our nature to find the fault in things .(Actually this nature also help us to find and improve things.)

Emm, your case is not special.
In a perfect world everyone should be able to critically analyze someone else's words. Otherwise, it would be too easy to get fooled by your government or anyone else whom you see on TV. This is why if someone would tell on our local TV that the earth is flat we would rather consider it as a joke but if the same bullshit would be shown for example on North Korean TV then people would see it as a new scientifical breakthrough.

I think what you are describing can be related to free speech in the US. That is what that law is about, really. Once people lose the ability to criticize someone or something, even the government, then it turns to the advantage of the person or group dictating the terms. Also, they call it critical thinking for a reason.

I have seen so many of such criticisms and I think whatever we do there is this believe that people think they know more than we do. For example I work in a place were critisim do happen often no matter how beautiful an idea is people must criticize those ideas. It is good we keep no ear for them. Do what is right at everytime and you are good to go. |

I had similar experience. I strongly promoted sexual abstinence and fidelity in marriage as the best way to have good relationship and marriage, and avoid emotional scars and possible sex illness but received strong opposition from the media and certain organizations in society. I didn't give up and I will continue to share what I believe is the best for society and people around me. We should be free to share our opinions and views. It's democracy. |

I think it's well known situation for most of us. If you have different views than majority of society, it means that you're wrong. You must have same views like others... And such criticism is very common for older generations. They are so confident that they are right because they have more experience and knowledge, no matter that their views is outdated. And if you're younger, you can't criticise them, they will simply won't accept any kind of criticism. But probably when we will become old, our kids and grandparents will say same things about us.

Let the people criticize because there is no way for you to prevent that.
It will always come to your way anywhere you go.
As much as you know exactly what you are doing and you do not do anything bad to some people that's enough.
Maybe criticism is the nature of a human being. So what we have to do is to be endured with it and fight.

I think people criticize as an easy form of ego defense. Meaning we tend to get easily threatened by others, devalued by others attitudes and behaviours, rather than their works/words. |

I do not care about people in my life. People are made to make rumors, they like to talk so let them talk and especially don't let them interfere in your life decision. Never ever listen to other people's when you are making crucial decisions. For example, when I join Bitcoin community I have recommended a lot of people to join Bitcoin community and I never I said anyone to invest I just said them to be in this community and they call me crazy. And now after like 5-6 years, they want to join the network.

It is everywhere. Your friends and family members instead of supporting you by your choice will instead criticize and discourage you, calling you stupid, brainless and illogical. When at the end you end up to be successful and indeed right, though they are being put to shame, they will not admit they were wrong, they will find another reason to put you down and will talk about your will be future failure. I'm done with a lot of this but alas, integrity is all that matters. I stood by what I believed to be right and do my own business. To hell with their criticisms.  |

Even if it's a human nature we should never use it as a reason to judge someone we actually do not know. The people you were saying that got successful even if they received too much criticism are taking it as their motivation |

There is good and bad criticism, if you are ever in that situation just extract and take the good ones and ignore the bad ones.
In my situation, my relatives used to think bad about me and how education is very important to them as standard. Because I'm one of those people that didn't finished my college studies way back then but they aren't the reason why I pursue and on where I am right now. Prove them wrong if you are annoyed with them.
