If I have to pick about and ICOs and IEOs I will go for IEOs. Cause IEOs are in the hype at this moment. And many big names are in with IEOs. But the main thing is if the project is good people will buy it whatever it is an ICO or an ieo. But for last few months we saw many scammed and failed project. Dev's collect the money form the people and disappeared. And some of them are failed at development phase. So now the ieo is more trusted cause they raised the fund using a exchange and most of the exchange are reputable. so the risk factor is less here. so ieo has some advantages.

IEO has more confidence because people want to sell their assets right after the coins lists on the exchange. but there are no guarantees that in a few months after IEO, the founders will not leave with your money. You will become forever HOLDER

IEO is better when it can be listed and we can sell immediately when receiving tokens but as you say, nothing is guaranteed about the project, developers can still disappear, the price when listed can still be lower than the price we buy in the IEO. People invest in the IEO right now, it's just that they want to invest in the trend, trends are always a factor we can take advantage of to make money, and when this trend ends, invest in an IEO or ICO, all based on what the project provides, good projects and low risks, we will participate and vice versa

Can you give me any good reason to invest in ICO instead of IEO? I guess none ,IEO is just safer even if the IEO project is not good enough as far as it's not a scam project makes it better than any ICOs now

Well, in my opinion I would rather go for not investing both, it is much good and safe if I join on their project campaign.
It is because, I can earn the utility token they are promoting it without getting any investment capital on my pocket.

If i have more money, i will spend it to investing IEO in some good exchanges.
We can see the advantage of IEO compare with ICO. One of the advantages is, you can be sure that the token will be listed in the exchange.

I think people are focusing on the wrong thing, what does it matter if a coin is coming up via IEO or ICO or STO, they are all the same and just tools for the coin to come to life.

The important part is to actually have a decent coin which is the hard thing, if you manage to find a coin that has a great team, that has a great blockchain, a great road map and many other important great things including a big community behind supporting it and considered to be the next big thing, would you care if its IEO or ICO ?

I personally wouldn't give a damn about the offering and only focus on getting as much as that coin. That is why the difference between IEO and ICO is minimal, it only affects the first few days where normally ICO wouldn't be listed on a great exchange whereas IEO would make you get listed right away but if a coin is great then it will get listed on big exchanges anyway.

Human wants are really insatiable, I have seen cases in this forum where people complain of IEO price dumping too after they enter exchange, what do we imagine will happen if we keep having the mindset that we should sell immediately when they get listed and enter exchanges.

If we all follow that rule, which money will then be left in the market, how do we make cryptocurrency overtake the FIAT  system, when we make money from crypto and change it back to FIAT immediately for bankers to get richer.

For the trend, I think the trend already ended with Binance as their IEO platform are not getting their project sold out that fast again as it was when IEO first started from Binance, the hype has died down and people are face with the reality of researching the project before investing.

To be honest they are basically the same thing. I cant be given an opportunity where the project will be listed immediately after sales and go for a project that doesnt know if they will list anytime soon? I can decide to pick projects from my top listed exchanges and be sure i can feel secure trading after investing on such project listed by that exchange. In other words IEO is the new ICO

I do like IEO but that doesn't mean that there isn't people that doesn't like ICO. If I do see an ICO that seems very good and after some thorough digging and it looks like it is going to perform very well, then I'm definitely going for it immediately. Same as IEO, some of them are also not worth.

IEO seems like they are safe, but the truth is that not all of them are, I have seen someone that complained about an IEO that he participated in, surprisingly this IEO was even backed by Binance as the exchange for it. So its all about finding the right ones to invest in. Just because it is an IEO doesn't mean that it is definitely going to be a good run for your money.

It depends on the project  anyways and also th Exchange that th  IEO is taking place. For the record, majority of IEO tokens always dip very very low. So if am participating in any IEO, I will sell with little profit  and move on so I won’t turn to a holder. Also ICO projects  mostly don’t want to list for trading on exchange they make too many delay which is bad. For this many people will prefer IEO.

I still use the both ways to choose some project that I think interesting. Indeed, IEO give me a little confidence to make at least my money safe because there is an exchange who can able to replace it if the project exactly scam. Also,in the first season usually the new way to make money from an investing way will give a lot of profit because there will many people who interest to join with it and after that if this way has been knowing by all people slowly this way will be found a gap to cheat and eventually will end up such ICO. But at least if this really end up such as ICO I wont be regret because I have made profit from it. And for ICO, I still find some ICO who has potential especially ICO who promote their project in bounty campaign. I'll find a project which have a trusted manager and then I'll choose it for an investing place.

The majority most of the investors and base on the survey for sure more investors will prepare to invest to the IEO because as ICO investor since last few years I lost too much money. But because of IEO Im recovering my lost from the money that I invested last year. ICO is not good choices because we want IEO now it is the new version of the ICO.

I am going to invest only project I deem worthy enough for my money,  be it ICOs, IEOs or just buying the coins on an exchange, following the trends without second thought is what led to losing investment for a lot people coming in newly into crypto.
