There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

If you're using the sample config I provided, it should autoconnect to two nodes. I'm showing 11 connections on the two seed nodes.

IE

Might've been an issue with MEGA's page and IE not wanting to play nice. I'll upload it to my server and post a direct link later on once there's more nodes.

That's a common issue with new coins, once there's a decent amount of nodes it'll find them automatically.

There aren't any pools yet, but I'm offering a bounty to whoever can get one going, and I'll give it a shot myself as soon as I can get MPOS working.

With solo mining it's better set expiry 1 on cgminer or 30 like the block time?

Probably best to set expiry to 1 for now. Once the difficulty levels out you can set it a bit higher to 5.
