I have come across some post about red trust this red trust that this for example https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5140151.0
And I begin to wonder why some user worry about it

Here is the forum rules
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0
And I think the rules is very much plain and straight forward and if you follow the rules you would be very much guided and would not have much worries.

Some of the effects of such post about about complains and so is that it might affect newbies or prospective users mentality about the forum.
Let's not start a negative trend that is baseless and unhelpful member don't know each other in person so there is little issues of personal beef and if anyone has wrongfully given a red trust it can be overturned by the same person if it's proven to be an incorrect red trust.

We all in this forum together and there is no need to cause it harm with our post let's all seek ways to improve it for ourselves and prospective users

No offense, but English is not your thing and most of what you wrote here is either unintelligible or insipid nonsense.  *Edit*: Looks like I have given you merit in the past, so you're not the worst shitposter in the world, but the above quote is a complete mess.

"Do the right thing" means different things to different people, so that's why there's so much complaining when members get red-trusted.  And to top that off, there are very few hard-and-fast forum rules.  Most are unofficial ones, and in case you haven't noticed, scamming isn't even against the rules.  Thus people get tagged all the time for doing things which aren't technically against the forum rules.  Then some of them argue that they never broke any rules and don't deserve the tag they got.  It's a never-ending mess.

We all in this forum together and there is no need to cause it harm with our post let's all seek ways to improve it for ourselves and prospective users
Do yourself a favor and work on improving your own posts.  It's really the only thing you have control over, because idiots are still going to be idiots no matter how many threads like this you start.

Please, no more threads about this, please.
We already have enough treads from Thule and CH/alts (the one you mentioned) repeating the same as a broken records.
Those threads should be in the Reputation board anyway.

Get your facts straight, breaking the written forum rules will result in a perma/temp ban, breaking the unwritten ones will get you red trust. It's not against the rules to sell accounts for example, but that WILL paint your account red.

It's not about rules, but about common sense...you don't need rules to know that you shouldn't do nasty shit to people.

Well, if someone's perspective is affected by a random post/feedback of a random dude on the internet, they kind of need a change in perspective, the world isn't pink Smiley There might be personal beefs as well, but overall, the trust system is doing it's job and only buthurts are spreading shit about it cause they've been caught with their hands in the cookie jar! (this is all coming from a newbie that was mostly on read-only mode)

Where do these low functioning fools gain access to the internet?

The thread clearly states you can now get red trust for deleting posts in your own self modded thread that

1, are triple posts (against the board rules anyway)
2, deleting accusations against other members with no evidence to substantiate it.

this is an observable instance of truth. You can now get red trust for that.

You post is word salad garbage. - 20 merits would be fair. Merit beggars are nearly as sickening as scammers and nearly as damaging since they will back any kind of behavior for a merit morsel . Filthy dogs.

I see english isn't your first language, it isn't mine too but if you want to communicate effectively on the forum, you have to improve on your english & writing skills. English not been your first language isn't an excuse. Also before posting, read out (preferable loud to your hearing) your written words to avoid making some preventable mistakes like the use of punctuation marks.

The trust system is a major feature of the forum which can't be neglected. You shouldn't worry over forum users debating on the issue, this debates are what keep the forum lively and entertaining. A little bit of them isn't that bad infact they're good for the soul lol.

Doing the right thing will most certainly earn you red trust when you act against those with malicious intent.  Take a look at all the negative ratings theymos has received.  I believe the quote is...

Well one thing I have learnt to have when dealing with a forum or group is a tough skin. Every one has different opinions and ideas. Well am not always right with some of my ideas, thought or English. But always opened to correction no matter how it comes.
And for the newbies it's a thing of value to pin point ideas and reasoning in replies to get ahead in the forum.
And I still believe doing the right thing is paramount.

PS. (am still learning how to do the right thing)

The key question is: Why do you have to worry about Red Trust?

- Without financial benefits from your account (campaigns, bounties, etc.): You won't worry about Red Trust.
- Without needs to do trade with others: You won't worry about Red Trust.
- Without needs to provide services in the forum (Escrow, campaign managements, other technical services): You won't worry about Red Trust.
- Without needs to create and manage projects in the forum: You won't worry about Red Trust.
For users, whom simply create, log in their accounts here to read and get news, or to discuss, ask for help, and help others. They won't have to worry about Red Trust. There is some other things, like pride or something like this, but I don't think most of users complained about their Red Trusts started from this.
Even admin, theymos, does not care about negative trust some users leave on him account. It is the way theymos shows his belief on decentralization.
You can check in Untrusted Feedback
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=35
Or LoyceV:
When someone gives you negative trust without valid reason then what does that mean you are a scammer?
No, it means someone just disqualified himself from ever deserving a position on DT. If you don't value someone's sent feedback, you can exclude him from your Trust list.
I recently got red trust from someone. I left him neutral trust explaining it, and mentioned it in my reputation thread because I was curious why he left it. I'll never know, because he was banned the same day.

In brief, the OP question is too general to answer relevantly.

"It's all relative"

What is right for you, may be considered wrong for another person. The forum tries to keep most of the decisions about what is wrong in the users' hands. That being so, you can do everything right and someone decides that this is wrong and deserves negative trust. Smiley

I heard somewhere that you could be tagged for using the word "Lemon"  Roll Eyes.

you can't possibly determine the "right" thing, any system that has no rules and regulations will always be in some sort of a mess where everyone can justify their "right" behavior based on what they think.

The good thing is that most people have some common sense about scammers, if not - the whole system would be a complete waste of resources.

There is one good thing about you OP. I am also learning and participating for a good and active discussions. This post inspires me a lot continue despite of criticisms. Being an open minded individual is one thing that a good user in this forum should have.

We have different common sense and this is why probably other users does not like the posts. Mind that this should not be a thing for discouragement in fact as to what I have mention earlier that this post inspires me and should consider my mistakes to charge for experience especially in English. I think I have to eat a lot before I will learn the English Language.

I think I have to eat a lot before I will learn the English Language.

please spend some time learning the language properly fella, I guess you are using a translate program?
