did you already try to search on google? and i found a tutorial but it based on NXT here the link How to Build Your Own Cryptocurrency (PoS) in Just a Few Minutes

but if you want to try to create a POS/MN with another algorithm so you should learning and inspect the codebase from the masternodes that you want to create

Just to add to this, you can also build or "fork" your own ethereum: https://github.com/ethereum/go-ethereum/wiki/Building-Ethereum

This GitHub repo contains guides on how to do it on a few OS's. I sure hope this is only for educational purposes, OP.

https://medium.com/learning-lab/how-to-build-your-own-cryptocurrency-proof-of-stake-in-just-a-few-minutes-6d526bca4a91
Those two guides on how to make forked coins, and Proof-of-Stake/ Masternode coins partially explain why there are abundantly useless PoS/ MN & scam forked coins in crypto market. They usually turn into dead projects after few months when block rewards hit all time high, and inflation reaches unacceptable figures. More importantly, most of such hybrid PoS/MN projects dont' have real use cases.

We don't know that. We don't know OP's intentions. I wouldn't just immediately come to the conclusion that OP is planning on creating his own shitcoin; we don't know, OP might just be interested in learning how things work.

I believe many MS/PoS coin is forked from Dash and/or PIVX. You might search from that to give you more specific answer, there is a comprehensive paper that explain how to fork, link.

If you are willing to learn about how the code works in a Proof of Stake coin it would be well and good to create your own coin based on Dash. But if you are trying for a project, creating MN coins requires some people to run the nodes for you similar to btc. If you are going for a PoS based coin, you need to understand how Dash and its masternode system works. Dash isn't completely based on Proof of Stake, but they were the one which started the Masternode. Coins can be created out of thin air by just forking, but adding value over the course of time by implementing newer technologies would be a challenge.

Ethereum works on the basis of Dagger-Hashimoto algorithm and it does still work in the PoW concept. PoS concept and the implementation of the Casper code will take place only at the end of June. So, probably forking Ethereum to learn about PoS is not really useful. The hard part is that, as far as I have read the Ethereum code is little difficult and complex enough to understand when compared to btc and other coins.

Pivx is a fork of dash but yes a lot of these new mn coins are copy pasting pivx code base, my concern with the OP if you have to ask here how to fork a pos/mn you should probably stop right there.  There isn't a need for more coins with main devs not knowing how to do something we have plenty of those coins around.  Cheesy

Just some advice, unless you have a large advertising budget and a big community your newly created coin is unlikely to gain any traction.  This market is really over saturated and everyone thinks they can just create their own coin and become rich.

Yes, it is good if someone have interest to find out something new, and learn to improve their knowledge. However, it will be bad if someone start with intention to learn something that they will intentionally use to scam others. Anyway, no one among us knew thought's of OP. I just raised opinion that there are already so many shitty altcoins and shitty Proof-of-Stake/ Masternode coins launched and been dead since the year of 2017. Based on my observation, within last two or three months, the rate of successful scam PoS/MN projects reduced dramatically, maybe partially come from efforts of bitcointalk.org community (including DT members) to point out scam projects (guides, scam accusations, scam-finding groups/ topics).

Just ignore post like that. You don't have to repeatedly state what you wanted to do as most people won't read it. Seems like there are several tips up there already, maybe it's time to start your learning journey. Don't forget to learn about programming too as it is impossible to know the know-how of cryptocurrency by typing online guide on your command prompt.

That's fine and I commend that, you would be surprised though how many people want to buy a coin developed, launch it and call themselves coin developers.  It obviously gets ridden into extinction leaving people losing lists of money.  Good on you for wanting to learn though good luck

OP, please don't listen to those people, who tell you that you shouldn't try it. If you want to - do it, and, as someone already wrote about, start from the programming basics (Python, C++) + algorithms.
