Okay, I'ma catch some sleep. Please send me said info so we can solve this, shouldn't be too hard.  @Mopar
Funds must be (and will be) there. Unless peeled and swiped and then it would still show in the transaction history.
Talk tomorrow then.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

SN is 102 - wallet is fully sync'd

to load into the mymonero wallet he used the address as it is on your site, the view key from your site (which the qr code on the top of the hologram matches the view key for SN 102) and the private key from under the holo.

the qr code on the top of the hologram matches the view key for SN 102

- straight from your site.

address:

Txn id:

when I view the txn on blockchair

- it does look like .25xmr was transacted but not to this address? maybe I am looking at wrong?

I am not really a fan of xmr and that is why I gave my xmr stuff to him. He loves all those privacy coins - beam, piratecoin, xmr etc

using localmonero.co:

when I run the address and the view key I get:

and with the address and the transaction id (yes it should be the view key but I wanted to try everything):

Okay, I just synced a view wallet with your SN and pubkeys/address - the 0.25 XMR are cleary there.

I didn't see an option in mymonero to import via viewkey only - so I cannot try to replicate your experience there.

Your screenshot also shows that the funds are there (I also successfully replicated it with the decode outputs option here: https://blockchair.com/monero). Just note, there are two recipients ofc, similar to a Bitcoin transaction that contains change. The change is not displayed as Monero is a privacy coin keeping everything secret that's not meant to be seen. In this case the change money sum from the transaction (first recipient). Second recipient is you.
Also note, public keys are NOT the same as the public address! In case you were wondering about why the public key displayed doesn't seem to match your public address.

Again, not sure why mymonero won't show the amount after importing the private key, was there an option to select a "restore height" or "restore block"? If so, please choose a date from BEFORE the transction. Something like 2019-01-01 must work, or if you use block height 1500000 should be safe as a start.
Generally I'd recommend to use GUI wallet: https://www.getmonero.org/downloads/

If you want a quick fix, try monerujo wallet. I use it for android for some basic testing and tiny amounts, it works well and let's you import different types of wallets quite easily.

For Menorujo, I wanted to create a pictured step-by-step guide on how to import your private key, but it doesn't even allow me take a screenshot. That said, the process is pretty "intuitive". Here is how it's done:
- In the main menu page click the + Icon. -> Then select either Restore view-only wallet or Restore wallet from private keys.
- Now enter the required keys. Either public only or public and private if you want to spend your funds plus your public address. The private key is below your hologram, everything else if public domain and can be found here: https://github.com/LIMXTEC/MoonBits/blob/master/Monero/2019.md
Set a wallet name and a password. And make sure to use a restore date from before when the transaction was made (use 2019-01-01 to be on the safe side).
- Your wallet will now needs to synchronize. Don't open other apps or minimize monerujo in the progress. It's a flaw in the app, but to safe your sync progress you need to press the "back" button on your phone (while on the screen where it syncs and shows your current wallet status), only then it will be permanently stored in your phone. If you just close the wallet or switch to another app, the program will return to the main screen and your sync progress is lost.

Download: https://www.getmonero.org/downloads/

With GUI-wallet the process of re-importing your wallet will not differ too much from the above.

maybe it has something to do with the block height, his other wallet has txns showing from 2020 to present - so maybe it just isn't going back far enough. If so, then that is a simple answer and and has an easy fix.

Thank you - will let you know shortly if this works.

Yes, the wallet where I could specify a block "start" time back to 1/1/2019 worked. My guess is the other wallets were pruning the old txns.

Glad this is solved and you were able to access the 0.25 XMR.

On another note: Anyone familiar with an option to view multiple addresses (view only wallet style) in one go? It's very inconvenient if you have say 5+ XMR addresses to check each one of these individually. Would be cool to have an option to bundle these together.
Might make a post in the Monero thread if nothing comes up hear.

yes - he is happy about it too. he's still waiting for the wallet to finish sync'ing so he can xfer it out to his regular wallet.

multiaddress check - yes that would be nice - there is a bitcoin site I use where I can enter up to 50 addresses and have all of them checked at once.
