We are in a society today where the government of so many countries are always monitoring the activities of its citizens, down to monitoring their social media account and their financial transactions, this is why we need a private blockchain where we could carry out all our activities without any government or security agency being able to monitor our activities, I believe this is the main reason why satoshi created bitcoin and any project that could solve this problem fully would rise to stardom because this is the desire of most crypto users.

In recent times, I read like monero faced big regulations/ban due to its privacy supporting nature. I guess this is the reason bitcoin is being created pseudo-anonymous which means your privacy is encourage only up to some level as most governments' law is basically not supporting 100% piracy due to money laundering to terrorism kind of things.
