I believe the world has become a digitalized one and Facebook in one way or the order is a digital tool. I have been hearing these rumors about Facebook, but none of these news carriers has been bold enough to quote anyone directly from Facebook Team or even give a link to where Facebook had announced their intention to create Facebook coin directly, so I see this as strictly rumor.

I learnt that they were also raising about 1 billion dollars I think for the project and for them to have thought of launching the coin, and then they must have finished raising the fund. So my question is, who raised the fund, what time did they conclude their ICO for them to raise such amount from public, I doubt the authenticity of this Facebook news.

I dont think they will launch a traditional ICO that we expect on every project. I heard and see some reviews already from some of famous crypto enthusiast and I think the fbcoin will not be related to blockchain but more on a service payment. They will integrate payment system wit their partner social group and merchants which I think I presume will click for mass adoption sincce they are famous. But not totally linked with cryptocurrency's blockchain. Maybe later or we will see when a final announcement had been made. They trying to raise 1B$ and thats a huge for a project. Your last sentence got my attention, hence I bolded it for reference. No, don't think it will make much impact whenever (if ever) Facebook comes out with a cryptocurrency. It will just be up in the media with much noise just like Electroneum did when it was launched, that's all. By the way, what is Facebook share worth in the stock market? Just a mere > $100+. Nothing more. If we were talking about a cryptocurrency from Amazon, then I could say, yes much impact.

Even Amazon coin will not make much impact too, same as Facebook, the only impact they will have is to add to the general market capitalization, because most of the coins they will produce will basically be stable coin, which will only be useful for their internal operation.

Although their announcement may make people start rushing to buy bitcoin thinking it will cause pump in the price of BTC, there might just be a little coincidence then, because FOMO will make others follow them in also purchasing bitcoin. So I still think it will indirectly have very big effect on the value on bitcoin. Anyway, the third quarter is almost here.

Any coin that comes from a big company or well-known personality is big news, just like what happen to Electroneum, but we still have to see if they will live up to people's expectation, we all know that majority of Facebook's user base are not into cryptocurrency yet, they should first introduce cryptocurrency to their users, or are they only targetting a specific users in their network.

Facebook seems to be developing a blockchain to integrate payment system for all it's apps and create a universal cryptocurrency to be used in it's platform. But I highly doubt it would be called FBcoin and would be announced as soon as third quarter of this year.
