Good one OP
This looks like the trend lately by scammers especially with already established projects.
1. Create a malware wallet.
2. Create a fake GitHub.
3. Host the fake wallet there.
4. Then copy and paste an Ann of a legit project and post it in the Announcements section

It looks like just one group of scammers doing this, but we shall keep busting them until they give up on it too.

This looks like the trend lately by scammers especially with already established projects.

I have to agree, this is becoming a trend of late with all these fake ANN impersonating other projects.

Gecol46 has edited his post to "No actuali", I'm not sure if this Romanian or Spanish, the second guy who reposted the same ANN with same infected wallet has many posts in Spanish. All previous projects were leading to Russian speaking guys...this is different though.

Thanks for the link, will tag/report them as well. (archived)

This is a post from Hcash official medium account (cross-checked with twitter)

The following is a weekly progress report from the HCASH development team. This report is divided in two parts: completed and ongoing work.

Our GitHub code can be found here: www.github.com/HcashOrg

Please note: code is being uploaded to GitHub progressively; if you find that something from this document is missing from a repository, please check back periodically.

Update: Make sure you report those fake GitHubs out there:

There's another scammer (Jameshaswon) posting the same on the German local board. He was already tagged but I added another one. Maybe you can make a list in the OP of all users spreading the fake-ANN.

Looks like the scammer has posted it on every local board. I've reported all of his new topics.

Thanks for reporting him. I didn't know he was also posting in local boards. Mods will handle it, they deleted the previous two ANN created.

I'm not sure I will update the OP though, I have to report and tag 4-5 more fake ANN/GitHubs first... Sad Grin
