so far 2 subcontinent teams struggling in English pitch lets see how Afganistan, Bangladesh and India tackles this situation.

Afghanistan also struggling against Australia and will lose by big margin. I think the three Asian teams, (Pakistan / Afghanistan / Srilanka /Bangladesh) are not in good form and are considered weak teams for this world.  India, on the other hand is favorite to win the world cup along with England and Australia.
So i think India will perform much better then the rest of the Asian teams.

Probably yes. India won the tournament twice already so it's safe to assume they will perform accordingly. New Zealand once lost massively against Pakistan too so you can never really be sure, I do agree that Afgh/sri/bang are weak in comparison. Bookie odds aren't always very accurate when it comes to these type of tournaments, though.

It is a common theme in the tournament now, the team batting first is struggling to make runs especially the Asian teams, South Africa was an exception batting second , India does have a strong batting line up and they should perform well in this tournament, i am supporting them to  win the tournament with the strong bowling line up India has and if the famed batting line up put some runs on the board and with the conditions the bowlers could restrict any team.

Don't forget what we have now. Have you forgotten 2007, we only had Ashraful and inexperienced Mash, Mushy, Sakib, Tamim. They all have grown up now with more strength. Mushfiq is one of the most consistent batsman on the world. Sakib is no. 1 all rounder for now and have been for a long time. I can't remember if anyone had such long time.
By the way, in 2007, we played against Pollock, Kallis, Ntini, Smith, Mark Boucher, Harshel Gibbs.

Soumya is gone as well. Played a short but great innings. it's now time for Sakib and Mushy to prove themselves. If they can manage to play longer partnership, they still have the chance to defeat South Africa.

As far as I know the betting dept of Bangladesh is not bad. Shakib, Mushfiqur, Mahmudullah are some batsmen who has huge experience in their beg. I will only feel safe if these three leave the pitch early.

Anyway, I hope majority of us do not get wrong :-P

Sakib and Mushfiq is playing wisely. 124 after 20 overs. great rr. If both of them can continue next 10 overs, 350 will be an easy score because we have some good hitter batsman at the lower order.

I gotta say this is very good showdown from Bangladesh. I personally did not expect that. I knew this team has ability to play good cricket but I never expected this level. Seems like they are giving very hard time to South Africa.

Does anyone have any idea about their lower order batting strength? If they have good batsmen in the lower order then they will easily cross 300 runs I think and in that case I see South African are in trouble.

Other than Masrafee and Mustafiz, Miraz has also some good batting skill. Mithun is a good player. Mosaddek has shown his strenght against West Indies in the tri series. I guess 320+ still can easily be achieved.

Well then South Africa is in need of some wickets to restrict Bangladesh under 300 runs although I believe 350+ runs are not even safe when South Africa is chasing.

This match is going to be an interesting one. I am enjoying it.

I am also started to believe it. South Africa will easily going to have a 300+ run target. They have good record to chase high scores but remember Bangladesh has good spin attack. If Bangladesh somehow manage to win this match then South Africa will be in trouble.

This is why I like Sakib and specially Mushfiq, they both can always easily get easy with the pitch and don't waste ball, can continue with 100 strike rate from the beginning.
