The original blockchain was renamed to Ethereum Classic. So the classic people are those who didn't fork, and decided to be consistent with the original chain rules.

Ethereum was never first present and I think anyone who was in the Crypto space at 2014 knows about this, ethereum is a fork of ethereum classic, the original ethereum chain was renamed to ethereum classic because a number of persons where in support of the new coin fork and not the old one, this is why Roger ver kept calling bch bitcoin because he wanted same incidence but it never happened and I don't think it would ever happen in the Crypto space.
