This for sure arent people only who recently bought bitcoin in the market,im pretty sure they are the first investors who hoarded bitcoins since 2009,i can just say wow in bulgarian government having that much bitcoin count on them that country will boom in economy once bitcoin hits its ultimate ATH
Exactly! I mean,,, yes Bitcoin has done about 110% since all time lows, but if you are talking about x2.2 to make 1 billion, it means you had to buy $450 million at the low. So that kind of makes you already a billionaire if you had that much money. I do not think the Bulgarian government really has that much though. If they did,,, they would have sold some at ATH of $20k do you not think so?

I would be more interested in knowing how many bitcoins are owned by Patrick M. Byrne and also Overstock, because they have already shown that they are early supporters of this technology and that they are hoarding Bitcoin & Silver & Gold. There are also loads of early adopters that are not listed and these people might be hoarding more coins that are listed, but they just stay in the shadows to avoid the limelight and the security problems that might occur, if they revealed their Bitcoin ownership.

They would only become billionaires if they actually sold all of their BTC which they most probably won't. They might sell a couple of them here and there through OTC solutions to not affect the BTC value and majority of them can retire by selling only a couple of BTC.
How lucky they are, they will not sell it before the highest price of bitcoin come. they don't need to sell everything to pay for their living needs after all. of course if they sell all their assets will have a bad impact on the market value. That is just shortlist, Bitcoin has a total supply 21 millions, of course there are still many anonymous users who hold tens of thousands bitcoin as well.

Back on the early days , mining that time is not yet difficult because cryptos such as bitcoin arent also really popular. Hardware mining is also cheap as well as the electricity and most importantly , the price of bitcoin is also verry cheap . they mined it or maybe they just buy it directly using their cold cash as a part of thier investment . its not really shocking or surprising at all in my part .

It seems the list you provided was just based on assumption for reason being that no evidence to show that they really own such amount of Bitcoin apart from the suorce where you get this information from.

This is an interesting list
The list, although interesting, has no value because there's a good chance that the data there is incorrect or incomplete. And nobody is backing it for real, it seems. Another things is interesting to read between the lines: a bunch of new super rich people will arise, people with fresh ideas about how to make business, people with a good chance to change how the things work today. Of course, not all of those guys have a healthy thinking imho, which is a shame, but we can't have everything. It is, however, a start for the change.

This list shocked me. I could never guess that the Bulgarian government owns such a great amount of Bitcoin. Even the USA government does not have so much. However, I think we will never learn all the truth.

We have to look at ourselves first. How much will our wealth be when the Bitcoin reaches this price? The answer is no one Unfortunately, I think there is no one who can keep the currency until it reaches that price , But governments and some investors can do it easily

This is an interesting list of course satoshi nakamoto would be numero uno. But the government of bulgaria has this much bitcoin? How did they accumulate so much cheap electricity & mining since 2009 maybe and do they want to be the richest crypto country in the world? source https://twitter.com/BlocktownCap/status/1116008088337776642Lol it was clearly says that it was only estimated and nothing is accurate so basically this is not exactly true, remember bitcoin is decentralized and anonymous so where in the world that Bulgaria became the second top holders of bitcoin while Japan wasn’t even mentioned?sorry but I will not believe this though this sounds positive for the whole bitcoin fanatic worldwide

We would become a new billionaire if bitcoin exploded because no matter how much bitcoin we have, we still make a lot of money from bitcoin. That list is only a prediction on who will become a billionaire in the next bull market that might happen, and I am sure that many others could be on that list. But I am amazed to see the list and seeing on how much bitcoin they have because if bitcoin is really exploded, we cannot imagine how much money they will have and how if they sell all of the bitcoin they have.

This is a big company that owns a larger amount of Bitcoin than anyone on your list

Indeed Bulgaria has some good amount of bitcoin, the question is they only have the hard disks where the bitcoin are stored, or they also have the private keys and they can use bitcoin when they want?
Thanks for list, some rich people will become more rich.

Can anyone provide me a solid link for the source(s) that Bulgaria Government is hodling over BTC200k? I am much interested to read and learn more about how they accumulated that much bitcoins. If it is true then Bulgaria is the most bitcoin-friendly country.

This is an interesting list but I'm not sure how accurate this is. I mean we can't know for sure if Bulgaria or US government really own that much bitcoin since there is no real proof to that. Also all of those calculations are based only if the price of bitcoin would reach at least $250.000 and that's something we are cannot even dream about right now.

How did they accumulate so much cheap electricity & mining since 2009 maybe and do they want to be the richest crypto country in the world? Satoshi might be having a hell lot of coins than what is known to the public and in the earlier days when the block reward was 50 bitcoin he was the only person mining until others joined and the main reason he did not move the coins from these public known wallets is simply because he mine other coins as well, if not he would have moved the coins when the price touched all time high valuation, then there is another puzzle whether he has the keys to those initial coins, either way the list looks cool .

The most interesting item on the list to me is Bulgaria. I wonder where the country will stand in the next 20-30 years. With so much Bitcoin I think the country can prosper for a long time.

I read in local news, that BTC enthusiasm in Bulgaria was dominated by elites. all who participate in BTC transactions have college degrees. and public enthusiasm in Bulgaria made BTC the main currency. so the Bulgarian government provides ATM BTC in every place. especially in the center of Bulgaria.

Examples like these are great. The state made the BTC as an alternative currency to the state currency. We need such examples, where state helps society. But I think the state should be charging some fee in that case.
