this will have a good impact on new projects. I think the Facebook step is right now, what's more now IEO is popular. so promoting a new project can be a little easier.

I think they understood they lose money and crypto is something unstoppable no need to ban ads for it no more and maybe soon ICO ban will be removed too and i think other soc networks will follow this as they cant let Facebook take all profit.

I think in a way, it's good because it will shed light on garbage projects and bring investors to ones that actually deserve investments. What do you guys think?

TBH I got mixed feeling about this.

To be honest it's upon people who actually should do a work on their own and make a decision whether they want to invest or not. There are also good projects out there so why snatching a good promotional way out of their hands?.

However I would still would be inclined towards benefits from this action after watching the upsurge in no. of scam projects these recent years.

So it looks like Facebook is once again changing their policies on crypto currencies (https://tipestry.com/topics/5cd562f5d774147570d8c561/facebook-rolls-back-its-policy-barring-cryptocurrency-ads). Is this good or bad for the community? I think in a way, it's good because it will shed light on garbage projects and bring investors to ones that actually deserve investments. What do you guys think?
Nor bad nor good. Facebook is the biggest social media manipulator, undoubtedly. They first decided to ban the crypto advertisements and they intend to create the new crypto for their own purpose. It is not understandable but I guess they want something that they can control whenever they need like XRP.

Pshaw, facebook.  Facebook is nothing compared to crypto.
So one meddling company regulates ads and you think that will affect our market?

Satoshi made blockchain to purposedly go around these mega corporations control.
Even after all these years people still wonder if crypto is just a fad or this forever volatile thing.

That is like someone in the late 90s saying that the internet might get hurt because a tv company decided not to run ads about it.

The underlying technology is game changing, even moreso than facebook.
It makes it possible for people to interact and do business, run organizations, all without a central authority.

So, nah, I don't think it will hurt or even help crypto at all.

Everything is always in the investors and if anything is going we do not force them for investment or selling if they wanted to sell or buy then only they can do it otherwise nothing will affect the market condition.

I think this is very good news for the cryptocurreny world. I believe that the Facebook has it's private plan. Since 2 years the crypto ads banned an then rolled back several times. As all we know that the facebook starting it's own crypto coin and this roll back time would be better for them as well.

Why did facebook ban the ads in the first place since they were going to reverse the decision?  I think it contributed to the drop in ICO hype, although it's come back won't really have major impact.

They are allowing it now because of the imminent introduction of their own coin.
If they will continue to ban crypto ads, it means launching their own cryptocurrency contradicts their stand in crypto.
So they are slowly accepting endorsements again from the crypto community to show that they are still in in this business.
The scope of their influence is very large. No doubt about that. So injecting the crypto concept is an easy task for them.
So once they are ready to launch their own, it is not a shock to their users anymore.

Crypto has been banned due to critical issues on China last time. But the stand now is different lots of authorities are favouring now crypto and this could be the reason facebook are now enetering this business. They are trying to raise 1B$ for this payment system but Im not sure if this facebook coin will be blockchain based.

crypto was banned on china  , yes i believe on that but i dont think that it is the reason on why facebook also banned crypto ads  .  i believe that facebook has thier own reason on why they do it but now its nice to see that facebook change thier minds , now they are now allowing crypto ads which was great because this can help the adoption aswell as the price to grow more evenly

If Facebook bans Crypto ads, it might not have much impact. And Crypto is still very popular today, even many people are now returning to the Crypto market. By marking the current Bitcoin price increases and the trading volume of all coins increases. But if Facebook does not now ban Crypto ads, that certainly has a positive impact on Crypto.

They will continue censoring crypto currency content, like icos, binary trading. And another contents like exchanges, mining sites will pass through a review process. In other words: only crypto currency ads they want will be showed.
Not a big deal.

if this is certainly true this is a good thing in crypto.
but what I know for sure is that more support for crypto will make it faster to grow.

I think it is good for crypto and for the market. Because all we know that facebook is the most popular and poweful social media all over the world. So because of that it is a great marketing for the crypto when facebook are giving an good or bad issue about every topic that they post on their profile or status.

Ah so there's probably one use case now for facebook coin. Those who wish to advertise needs to have facebook coins.

I just hope they set a better guideline and carefully select ads that will run in their platform.

It can be bad and good whatsoever. The good is, a project can get more people for them. The bad is, facebook cannot guarantee for its legitimacy.
