They are the leading merchants in changing the exchange mode, and many people think that using bitcoin will limit the infrastructure, and you can get money immediately with unlimited funds. This only happens in countries that accept Bitcoin with my country using Bitcoin as illegal, which is terrible.

while there is progress with the Lightning networks , bitcoin is very far from to be able to serve as a payment gateaway
simply because it won't be able to handle the number of transactions and LN nodes are few ... and far in between
but this is the goal to achieve and we should take a step at a time
more merchants means highr prices and more awareness and adoption and from there starts the interest of  the big players
they just do not want to miss out on yet another way to accept money from customers and would not want to miss out on introducing bitcoin asa payment before their competitors do

At least, that is good news for crypto users, and more merchants will follow their step. Besides that, that will help bitcoin to be approved in many businesses and people will know about bitcoin. I don't think the influence of the price of bitcoin. so far before the increase in bitcoin there have been several countries that accept bitcoin as payment and this so far will continue to grow and there will be many users using bitcoin including big merchants in the world.

I'm interesting to see how these merchants handle refunds. Microsoft stopped accepting Bitcoin in 2017 as everyone was returning purchaces and asking for refunds. Price was doubling every 2-3 weeks and MS was refunding in Bitcoin and not in dollar value.

Now, we are all hoping that soon more and more big names will be coming on board so as to boost Bitcoin and the rest of the cryptocurrency club. I know that we are still far cry from mainstream adoption but we can get there one merchant at a time. There are quite a bit of travel websites that accept Bitcoin. I recently used www.travala.com to book a hotel and it worked flawlessly. They even partnered with Booking.com recently. There are also loads of websites where you can book flights using Bitcoin.
