So, it means ripple may dethrone ethereum someday. I believe also in the capacity of thia altcoin since ripple gain a lot of trusts to the people. Maybe, the opening for New York customers might help it to move up to 4 dollars or even further. I want to collect some of it in this following weeks.
I can't find any reason why this coin can raise prices in the near future because most of the news from this coin is only normal and there is not so much interest from the investors. In my opinion, XRP investment requires patience for a long time to earn good profits and it will be very difficult to beat ETH because this coin represents many other altcoin. However, crypto market always has many surprises and hope ripple can do something that can make us happy. |

This is mare speculation and mostly under probability, this can only be achievable with a major bull run in the market, or most likely the news is strong enough and can push price of xrp from its current market price to $4 when the time is right, sometimes market can take you unaware, xrp could hit $4 with the next upcoming bull run or more who knows, i know there are big players involve but still the whole market must experience such a spike for this to be achievable, just my opinion.
XRP is a hype coin, and most time, it is growing as there are too many unrealistic predictions about its growth coming soon. Billions of Ripple - how will one coin grow to reach 4 dollars now? It is impossible. I do agree with you but one thing you need to understand in 2017, the price of XRP crossed the value of 3$ and there is chance for XRP when the whole market should be in bullish. So we have to wait and see how far the prices of the coin will increase in the coming days with the bullish trend we are seeing. |

If XRP goes to $4, it will be the first coin I have in my entire life to x10. I don't have much at all, because I never really liked Ripple, just want to use them to speculate;)
But if I x10 on XRP, I'll be a very happy guy. Who won't be happy right? It's not much almost $100 now but $1000 will be a super nice bonus.

The mistake that almost everyone makes here in the forum, in telegram chats, in twitter, discord, reddit, etc. is to reason in FIAT currency (dollars, euros, pound, yen,); we are in the crypto market and one day these will completely replace the FIAT world currencies, based completely on absolute nothingness.
1 Bitcoin = 1 Bitcoin
1 Ripple = 1 Ripple
1 Ethereum = 1 Ethereum
What today seems impossible and only a hope, Ripple at $ 4, is just a simple matter of time (even little in my opinion); even just 24 months the total marketcap was about 30 billion dollars, that is 90% less than today ..... what do you think will happen in 24-36-48 months? what do you think will happen when the oil billionaires, or Russians, Chinese, Americans, etc. will they discover this market? what will happen when they have their BUY button in their home banking and can buy Ripple, Bitcoin, Ethereum, Iota, from their home PC as they do with Apple, IBM, Microsoft, Amazon, Gold and Oil?
I'll tell you: $ 100 trillion marketcap! Bitcoin at $ 1 million and Ripple at $ 100
Of course, perhaps it will be the umpteenth bubble that will then burst, stabilize, many will lose a lot of money, but then the whole market will start up stronger and healthier than before!

They call it bubble, but this bubble would not die because it has a real used case. The coins that are existing in the market now as long as they have a legit team who are capable of developing the project, these coins has a good chance of increasing its value in the future, so at this early stage, it's good to accumulate and just try to forget and hold it for many years. |

Shady deals like an pump and dump organised by Ripple Inc. can make a price of $ 4. But it won't be different from other pump and dump and finally it will go back and people will lose trust in XRP. And in normal finacial assets a pump and dump would make Ripple Inc. criminal because market manipulation is criminal. |

Not really fanciful. But I won't throw much into XRP this year. I admire the rise of XRP in last year when the market was hidden in the dark cloud. then XRP is a rare bright spot with $ 0.8. But I don't believe in $ 4. The reason is that the supply of XRP is too huge and the banks associated with XRP have yet to reach the true boom.

I believe because ripple are good and potential coins, but to reach the price of $ 4 certainly will not be easy to achieve in the near term, the possibility that it takes the next 2 years new ripple can reach it.

XRP is a centralized coin and we can expect that easy. Though they are back-up by some banks but we don't know if that will be in the integration into the other country's bank. I supposed to think that XRP won't go that high, $4? It is too far from what it has today, it only $0.42 at binance and it is a long gap fro $4. We should have to think that XRP it won't go that fast and given a chance by their team to make at high instead of keeping it below $1. |

There’s a chance for that and if you continue to hold you can have more profit. Its not that hard to reach that level though XRP needs a time to pump. I’m also holding XRP now, but i’m not expecting to get profit early this year maybe for 2 years holding. |

Yesterday there was news that Ripple was hacked over 10 million dollars from gatehub and that's the main reason why I believe that this coin is no longer safe to invest because in fact it doesn't have too much value when you invest long-term and you may experience a lot of losses if the market enters a declining period. I believe it is time for us to leave this coin to find a better altcoin and a higher profit and if you want something new then ATOM will be a more advanced choice for you right from the moment. |

XRP almost went $4 when bitcoin is at the top of its price and i am sure it will happen again but not just because BTC is going up but the people behind and its supporters.
LOL, you already gave reason why ripple went up in the first dispensation before collapsing to bear market, what makes you think it is still not the same pattern it will follow. If you say people behind it are strong, why is it then that the value has still not gone up till now, and the only time that the price tries to go up is anytime Bitcoin surges which it reverses back to as soon as Bitcoin plunges, so where are the people. I am not arguing the fact that ripple can get to $4, it will surly get there, but not now and not from its present community, but from the high rise of Bitcoin in the next powerful bull run. |

We cannot know if it is one good thing or the many that have been there until now; what is certain is that banks and financial institutions have money, a lot of money, and Ripple has been making agreements with many of them for at least two years. I don't see any chance for that even if we have enough faith and hold ripple longer because ripple does not have too much potential to reach that price when it is a coin for banks to use, and as we know, the bank only uses products with high stability, that requires the price of ripple to be stable or can only fluctuate at a low level. And another reason is that competition in the crypto market is getting bigger, many more prominent products have appeared, whales will no longer focus strongly on coins that are too obsolete as ripple |
