Amount of scam icos will rise again to the whole new level imho

I keep hearing more and more this hopeful thinking that people will now invest to quality coins after they have learned their lesson on the scam icos and scam coins will die when the bull run starts. (Like -%95 wouln't count as dying and they need to die more.)

And more i think of this, less sense it makes.

Why it would be different this time?
When the next crypto fomo starts big time and $100k hits in on btc, there will be even more uninformed and greedy people getting in.
And when people have ever learned from history? There will be even more icos, itos, stos ieos and such

It's like doing technical analysis on the cycles of stupidity. Just because dumb investing is down it doesn't mean that it wouldn't come back with a vengeance.
There will always be markets for gullible idiots. So prepare yourselves for the ultimate rise of crypto scam industry.

However,the scammers are always sneaky and clever in finding other ways to create scammy "crowdfunding" crypto projects and HYIP pyramids.It has been  proven a long time ago that the stupid people will always lose their money in the end,with or without crypto scams and ICOs.

Scammer and Fraudster are everywhere. You as an Investor have the liability to investigate before Investing into any project, cause it is your money . Do not go with the crowd, do your own research. This is what everyone has been telling to the newbies, still they invested and incurred losses. It is and always be an Investor responsibility. ICO's are dead and the same will happen to IEO's.

I think still top millionaires are buy some ICO because they know the future value of new investion because they are all controlling the market. If you like ICO you can ask suggestion of this forum because many experts are available and we will also make good profit in ICO investment but some scammed projects also run in the market so better analyse and invest anything is good.

This is somewhat true, people who are planning to make money the easy way look for opportunities to invest and get returns in a short period of time and the scammers are always lurking for people like that, just forget the scam projects, the amount of shit projects that popped up and collected millions and never bothered to do anything about that after the funds were collected were huge and majority of them have closed their doors by now and there is no repercussion and the investors lost their money and still people are looking for new ways to lose their money is mind blowing.

Some investors will not but some greedy people will still bite the ICO project especially when there’s a hype. I doubt scammers will stop, because they will never do it, it can’t be the end for them IEO is still a good place for them to scam people. ICO is a good system, scammers just ruined it, a sad reality that we should not be happy for, we should fight scammers and not the system itself.

And just in case people were wondering what 95% fall from ATH looks like, just look at something big like Ether. Sure, it's piggybacking on Bitcoin like every other alt and at a "decent" 15% of ATH now but just 5 months ago, it was at $75, basically down 95% from ATH. I don't mind a handful of alts for speculatory fun, but you're right, for as long as people keep harping about x3 and x15 in a short amount of time, ICOs will always have their cycle of popularity. In whichever damned form it takes these days (IEO, etc.).

You think people learn but really, they don't.

If any of you remember pre-2017 bull run... There were great ICO's like Lisk and Waves, stratus and ark. Good ones that survived.
Then there were also a TON of shitcoin ICO's also. Like Porn Coin, BigNasty coin, BetCoin...

Pretty sure when the next run comes, some of these older ICO coins will boom making the seed investing market go crazy again just like before.

ICO's aren't done. New project need to join the crypto-realm, and people love risky seed investing - It makes it a healthy market.

With the rise of IEOs, people would still be fooled into buying these crapcoins that doesn't really amount to anything. Newbies lure themselves in these kind of scam approach with the thinking that they would be getting more than what bitcoin has offered them. Truth of the matter is they are just losing and the IEO/ICO/whatever operators are profiting. But then again, who would say no to these kind of handsome offerings from flowery-mouthed con artists, right?

Hopefully the stricter regulations for ICO somewhat prevent this from happening ever again.

same shit, different day. altcoins, ICOs, STOs, IEOs, and whatever new get-rich-quick token schemes come along---they aren't going anywhere.

altcoin haters are always sticking their head in the sand. they always think this time will be different. if you understand anything about human psychology and greed, you already know it'll play out exactly the same as always. there is no bitcoin bubble without altcoin hype. whenever bitcoin bubbles, there's a whole population of people who feel they missed the boat and are frantically searching for the next big thing.

You're being too naive. The general public always renews itself, you think the same people who invested in ICOs in 2017 will be the same ones doing it in the next bull run? I hardly think so, there will always be greedy newcomers looking for ways to make money who will most likely fall for X or Y "promising" project.

I don't expect the same hype surrounding the ICO ecosystem like we saw back in 2017, but there's no way that ICOs, legit or not, will not make serious bank during the next bull market...Expect nothing but irrational behaviour during a bull run.

the thing is, it's new investors who keep falling for the same old snake oil. the parabolic stage of bubbles is driven by new money, not people who learned lessons from the last go round.

in a bubble, there's millions of suckers putting their money on the table, up for grabs. many of them will get punished by the market and will eventually dump and leave. some of them will learn their lesson and will stick around and start investing responsibly.

Lol, some people's comments are quite funny, how they think they are safe wiht the IEO. you're not even sure about that, and anything can happen. A project that seems good can today can turn out to be a scam tomorrow, you never know all these, they do happen. I have seen a lot of projects that started out as being legit but at the end they turned to something else. Even ICO ends today, scammers are still going think of other ways they can continue their work of getting people scammed. It's all about knowing the projects you choose and the team behind it.

Yes, I agree that amount of fake ico will rise again, but one thing I can assure you is that the amount of participation too will reduce, which will kick these annoying projects back to their home and out of the market, as people are now wise to strictly be investing in coin that are at the top of coin marketcap, all these presale offer will no longer be working again, which is why you see that they hardly get to their softcap again.

Recently now, if you see the trend that has been going on in the forum and in the market, people have always talked less of new projects and talked more of top coin, since they now know that virtually all these new presale ICOs have no better idea and no working products.

This is exactly how these crypto market cycles usually work. When you're new, you chase the hype and buy the crappiest coins with schemes of getting rich. Then you get dumped on hard and they become so cheap it's not even worth selling them. Been there, done that!

I think you're right about dead coins rising. I saw garbage coins doing 10x moves all the time during the 2017 run. If you've still got those coins, be patient!
