I do not deny that I had a copypaste and I understand that they give him a permanent ban. There's a tendency now that instead of permaban there's a signature ban for copypaste, so this would be good for the OP as well.
I don't know the exact rules when will someone get a permaban and when a signature ban, but I've read several topics in Meta about it, so there's a little hope.
I saw a permaban modified to 2 months temporary ban these days too...

Lifting ban is very unusual to happen here in the forum but mind you that admin are doing it now especially in a case where a ban user is a good poster. I do not think that OP will not get this chance to lift the ban because he is somehow a good poster. However, the standards here in the forum are not yet establish and it might be good for some users and it may be not for the admin.

Just wait and see OP if your ban will be lifted and do not forget to give thanks if it is done. Being here in the forum is a privilege where one will learn and earn.

I am yet to understand why someone will copy and paste another's sentence and thought without acknowledging it isn't originally theirs. What is difficult in doing that acknowledgment stuff if not ego and pride of admitting you aren't as smart as the writer.

I mean, I can understand spam/shit posts but plagiarism beats my imagination. It won't cost anyone anything acknowledging the source of one's post if it's copied by simply putting up a link to it. It encourages the original writer.

I guess all who are involved have now learnt their lessons.

Most russians were banned because of their English posts. If you don't want to look like "bobs and vagene" you often use simple sentences. (Indefinite, Continuous). There is enough big probability for repeating such sentences through time.
It's like some ideas (idea of telephone for example) can apear in different minds at the same time (or not the same).


Of course, if inseparable (it's important factor) sentence is larger than 7 words it's a very very little probabilty for two different sentences to coincide

I notice that you have committed plagiarism in your very first post ever in the forum
and it doesn't seem to be only one, as mentioned by Xal0lex he found 5 posts
in this case I doubt you will be getting lesser punishment (temp ban + sig ban)

Best thing you can do now is being patient and wait for a global mod ala Hilarious to look into your case.

If he concludes you are of valor for this forum you might get unbanned.

Begging won't change much. Only thing left is maybe ask some people of your local forum to speak up on your behalf if they think you are a positive member of your community.

So, your ban appeal OP did not help you to lift the ban even just for temp. ban for wearing signatures. I do not see that admin will lift the ban. If by chance you have done something extraordinary with your account and post it here to prove that you are worth in the forum then do it. This is the only way to prove yourself worth for the forum. If none, then learn to accept the fact that this forum has been a bygone to you OP.
